Shape Patisserie and Bake has taken on nine Youth Guarantee Trailblazers as it looks to expand its Darlington empire 🍰

The Trailblazer is about building confidence, providing stability and offering long-term opportunities for young people 🤝

One of the nine, Gabriel Howard, is now an assistant chef and has flourished in his role after facing an extended time searching for work 👨‍🍳

He said: “I was out of work for three years and then within literally a day of hearing about this, I had a job interview.” 🗣️

We're recruiting on-call (retained) firefighters at Sedgefield Fire Station! 🚒 🧑‍🚒

It's a job like no other where you will be able to help protect the community you live and work in.

The paid job is open to residents aged 17 years and six months who must be able to attend the station within five minutes so they can quickly respond to emergencies.

If you want to know more about the role, our firefighters will be at Sainsbury's on Salters Lane on Saturday, February 28 to answer your questions.
