FREE MEN'S GROUP

We are thrilled to finally share the details for the very first FREE Men’s Groups we’ve secured with funding for from Point North

Primarily aimed at men aged 55+, these sessions are all about building healthy habits, breaking the loneliness that can creep in as we get older, and giving the fellas the chance to try new things—sometimes for the very first time.

But this isn’t just about filling time.
It’s about purpose, connection, and fun.
It’s about discovering interests you’ve always had in the back of your mind—whether it’s woodworking, painting, ceramics, cooking, or something completely different—and finally giving yourself permission to explore them.

So many men spend years working, providing, and putting others first, and we want to create space for them to enjoy new experiences just for them. The same way we do at Pimms & Needles, we want to offer opportunities that spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and bring people together.

Wednesday 3rd December
7–9pm
Blackwell Meadows, Darlington

Donna and Charlotte will be kicking things off with an Indian food cooking demo and tasting session with a relaxed, hands-on evening learning new skills and enjoying great flavours.

Last week we had Vicky return to lead a session and make some effective beaded jewellery with our Coxhoe members.
The hardest part was choosing what colours to use and then threading them onto the cord to make some pretty floral or banded patterns. Lot's of reading glasses at the ready for this one!

We had a wonderful session with The Willow Barn at Redcar last week and our ladies made some effective shapes, such as hearts, stars and dragonflies with this sustainable material.

This session is one of our most loved workshops and comes back time and time again. With kit's provided and lots of cheer, members don their gardening gloves and loop, build and finish off with a bow and some personal flair to make these beautiful unique door decorations.

New Men's Group-Start Date Announced
We are thrilled to finally be able to share with you the details for the very first FREE men's groups that we have gained funding for.
Primarily we are targeting men aged 55+ to give them some healthy habits as they get older. Helping to break the loneliness that can often come with older age and also getting the fellas trying new things too.
The first session for this will be on

GUEST SPACES-CHRISTMAS DOOR WREATHS-£27.50PP
We have some guest spaces left at groups running from next week to mid Dec to make your own DIY Christmas door wreaths.
Basic kits are provided, which get you the hoop, moss, wire and foliage. Plus a ribbon and some decorative bits such as sliced dried fruit and pinecones etc.
We fully encourage anyone who wants to "Go big or go home" to bring along extra foliage such as Holly and Tree Ivy, dried seed pods/flower heads, feathers, Battery powered lights and baubles, to make your wreath full and unique.
