Finishing the week off with our amazing China Town visit to celebrate and learn all about Chinese New Year!!
What a fantastic day!! We explored China Town, eat some freshly made Chinese donuts, had lunch and even had time to explore the LEGO shop!!
A fantastic day had by all!! We should all sleep well tonight 😴 😅

WE LOVE MONDAYS!!!!!!!!
Today we continued our Chinese New Year celebrations with a sensory session with Kirsty and Sarah! 🇨🇳 🏮 🍜 🐉 🇨🇳
We:
✔️ used chop sticks to use our fine motor skills to pick up different objects
✔️ explored red and yellow/ gold paint and glitter with our hands and different tools
✔️ played a chop sticks game
✔️ watched some Chinese New Year celebrations
✔️ danced and moved to Chinese music
✔️ had a visit from a Chinese dragon (guess who 🙈.)

We also:
✔️ made bird feeders from lard, peanut butter and bird seed
✔️ went for a walk with JD and the walking group
✔️ went swimming with Kirsty
✔️ went to the cafe for a chat and a cupa with Sue and Sandra
✔️ had gym sessions with Julie
✔️ made cards with Julie
✔️ had time to talk
✔️ had tea and cake with friends in the afternoon!

What a marvellous Monday! We have a great week ahead! Check back in on Friday to see what we have been doing!

Today was the start of our Chinese New Year celebrations! A delicious sweet and sour chicken with rice followed by pineapple fritters!!! With the added challenge of eating with chopsticks!! 🥢 🇨🇳 🥘 🏮

Wow!! What a week we’ve had at All Directions!! It has been an absolute smasher!!!
We have enjoyed:
✔️ a wildlife sensory session with Vicki and Caroline
✔️ amazing trips to John Lawson circus at Ruxley Garden Centre
✔️ a delicious breakfast club on Wednesday
✔️ walking groups to local areas
✔️ time for talk groups and cupa and a chat groups
✔️ sensory cooking groups
✔️ tennis sessions
✔️ gym sessions
✔️ pamper morning and reflexology with Vicki
✔️ news round
✔️ arts and crafts
✔️ celebrating birthdays
✔️ dance and show practice
✔️key skills

Now to have a rest and do it all over again next week! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Wow, what a fun filled Friday and LOVE was definitely on our agenda!

Today we:
🩷 were welcomed into a Valentine’s Day decorated All Directions
🩷 exchanged Valentine’s Day cards
🩷 played Blind Date with our host Cilla Black (Caroline!!!) to decide our lunch dates
🩷 made a cheesecake in our cooking session
🩷 danced and sang to LOVE songs
🩷 enjoyed a romantic dinner of chicken roast and chocolate and peach cheesecake with peaches and cream
🩷 shared and received Valentine’s Day gifts
🩷 had a chocolate fountain with fruit and marshmallows
🩷 watched Love Actually!

If that hasn’t put us in the mood for Valentine’s Day, I don’t know what will!
