Although Balanced And Present has had a presence in Darwen for over a year, we never felt the energies were just right enough to open formally.

Well that changed on 2nd February 2026 when we shared our official opening with our good friends at Number 1 Coffee Shop Community Hub CIC, who were celebrating their 1st anniversary being at 19 Croft Street, Darwen.

We are a holistic, metaphysical and ritual boutique, with a dedicated therapy space above the coffee shop. Access to our space is upstairs through the cafe, open from 9:30 to 4:30 Monday to Saturday. Appointments can be made outside these hours for therapies, delivered by Gail Kelly, the founder and owner.

We offer Angelic Rieki (4th Degree Master Level), Quantum Regression Integration Therapy, Crystal Healing and Tarot Reading alongside various crafting courses and workshops.

We welcome everyone joining us no matter age or abilities.

I’m so sorry it’s been quiet here for a while – we’ve been heads-down and hearts-full getting everything ready behind the scenes!

We’ve been busy setting up Balanced and Present (our little metaphysical & spiritual shop) and creating a beautiful, peaceful therapy space just above NNumber 1 Coffee Shop Community Hub CIC It’s taken longer than expected, but we’re finally almost there and SO excited to share it with you.

To celebrate, we’re throwing open the doors for our Official Opening Day on Monday 2nd February 2026 from 9:30am – 8pm 🎉
Come and wander around – you’ll find:
- A curated collection of crystals, incense, smudge sticks & spiritual accessories
- Tarot & Oracle decks to suit every vibe
- Whimsical, uplifting home decorations & gifts
- All the metaphysical & magical bits that make your soul smile and heart sing.

Pop in for a browse, a chat, a coffee from downstairs, and feel the energy of the new space. Everyone is warmly welcome!
We’re also marking the 1st anniversary of Number 1 Coffee Shop CIC on the same day – so it’s going to be a lovely double celebration ☕🙏🏼

Beloved Sister and Brother Soul Warriors

As the Earth leans into her deepest exhale and the Sun pauses at the edge of rebirth, I send to you all , blessings wrapped in winter light. May this solstice meet you exactly where you are—strong, tender, luminous, and wildly alive beneath the stillness.

You have walked your path with the courage of one who remembers, one who knows and one who is. Even in the long nights, you carry fire in your bones and wisdom in your breath. This season asks not for more doing, but for inner resting. Lay down the armour for a moment; your strength is not diminished by softness. In the dark, the roots grow deeper.
