The funeral of my lovely friend (and adopted family member) Gail Rostron will take place at St Peter’s Church on 27th January 2026 at 1pm followed by burial where she will be reunited with her beloved husband at Darwen East Cemetery.

Gail loved the colour green and the family would appreciate it if people could wear a splash of green for her.

Everyone is invited to Darwen Cricket Club after the burial to celebrate Gail’s life.

Flowers are welcome and there will be a donations box at the funeral.

The funeral of Lewis Walsh will take place at Pleasington Crematorium on the 29th January 2026 at 3pm. Please come in whatever you’re comfortable wearing or even wear a splash of red to mirror Lewis’ love of Manchester United.

As we anticipate there being a large attendance at the funeral the family have kindly ordered live streaming for those who may not be able to make it or for those who don’t manage to get a seat inside the chapel (the outside speakers will be on).

Should you wish to log into the live stream please use the web address detailed below and use the username and password also provided.

Please note that the live stream will only switch on at exactly 3pm and you won’t be able to access it before this time.

Lewis’ family would like to invite you to celebrate his life after the service at The C**k Pub in Darwen and donations will be being taken in favour of his two favourite people - Oliver and Oscar.

I’ve not been home long - it’s been a very long day after a very very busy week.

I’m honestly so truly humbled to be trusted with people’s loved ones. And tonight’s chapel visits really made it hit home just how precious the people in my care are to their friends and families. I don’t take it for granted for a single second.

Thank you for trusting me and thank you everyone for your continued support.

I have the best drivers!

I asked them to wear something festive and they didn’t disappoint. The family even gave them a cheer once I pointed them out.

Today I am conducting a Christmas themed funeral!

Anyone who knows me knows I absolutely love Christmas but I always try and keep it low key out of respect for the families I help during the festive period. So when I was asked to wear a Christmas jumper I jumped at the chance!

Of course I have red and green ribbon in my hair too.

I will hopefully post some pictures of myself and the drivers later 🌲 🎅🏼
