What an amazing sum to raise, E B Cavell were so proud to support our local RBL in helping on the poppy stands and getting to meet our local community, all pulling together to support the Kent Poppy Appeal. Thank you for allowing us to be part of the wonderful work you do!!

Fantastic news from 2025, Nic our Poppy Area Organiser (PAO) locally you may remember we raised £33819.42, the National total is £54,100,000 a 5% increase on the previous year, so all those hours in the wind and rain and sometimes sunny was all worth while. Take a look at the video, says it all.

This weekend, we had the pleasure of volunteering with the Martha Trust team to help prepare the food for their German music night! The event was a huge success, raising just under £9,000—what an incredible achievement! It’s such a wonderful feeling to give back to our local community, and we really enjoyed getting to know everyone involved. A huge thank you to the Martha Trust team for making us feel so welcome and for all the amazing work they do!

We received a lovely card and a box of chocolates from a family we helped last week. The card said “a huge thank you for the care and empathy we showed,” which truly meant a lot to us.

It’s gestures like this that remind us why we do what we do. We’re just glad we could be there to help when it was needed. Thank you for the kindness and for thinking of us.

🌸✨ Such a beautiful and unique tribute 🌿💛

This stunning floral display is made up of individual plant pots, Guests were invited to take a pot home after the service , carrying a living memory with them. Not only is it absolutely lovely to look at, but it also ensures there’s no waste — every plant gets a new home and continues to bloom.

A truly thoughtful way to celebrate a life, honour memories, and bring a bit of nature’s comfort into our own spaces.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to one of our families for their incredibly thoughtful gift of silk flowers. In what is undoubtedly one of the most difficult times of their lives, they still took the time to express their appreciation for the care and support we provided.

As a funeral director, our role is to guide families through some of their most challenging moments, and it means the world to us when we know we've made a difference. Receiving such a kind gesture truly reminds us why we do what we do.

Feeling incredibly grateful and well and truly spoilt today 🥰 We received these beautiful gifts—one from a very clever lady I was honoured to help with a pre-paid funeral plan, and who hand made this beautiful gift and the other from a family we had the privilege of supporting while arranging the funeral service for their lovely mother. Moments like these truly mean so much!

As we wrap up the month, we wanted to share our final act of kindness ❤️

This week we had the absolute pleasure of attending the Veterans Singing Group – a group we are incredibly proud to fund so that it remains completely free for anyone in Deal who would like to join. It’s such a special space where people can come together to sing, share a cuppa, and enjoy the company of others in our community

To add to this, we also donated tea, coffee, and biscuits to the Royal Marines Club, helping make those gatherings even warmer and more welcoming.

Moments like these remind us how powerful small acts of kindness can be, and how much community really matters. Thank you to everyone who continues to support and inspire what we do, Please feel free to join us on the last Tuesday of every month. We’d absolutely love to see you there and welcome you into the group.
