After a treatment I very often hear:
“I can’t believe I can move my neck this far to the left/right!”
or
“My back actually bends again!”
“My hips don’t feel stuck anymore!”

People get so used to their restrictions that they start believing they’re normal. They forget there was a time when they didn’t wake up stiff, when their body moved freely, when turning their head didn’t feel like an effort.

You weren’t born with a stiff neck, locked-up hips, or a back that doesn’t like bending. These things crept in slowly—stress, posture, injury, surgery, life—your body slowly adapted and you learned to live with it.

But restriction isn’t normal.
Pain isn’t normal.
Feeling stuck isn’t normal.

Your body hasn’t forgotten how to move—you need someone like me to remind it.

If you want to feel more like you again, get in touch, this is what I do 🥳

Teachers: the unsung superheroes of 2025: Win a FREE TREATMENT: 60mins of BLISS.

It's only when you know a teacher that you realise just how broken the system is.

Our teachers show up each day for our children but they’re working within a system that’s simply not built for the reality they’re now facing. Class sizes are rising, budgets keep shrinking, targets are increasing, staff numbers are dwindling, class preparation continues to be incredibly difficult, and expectations from (some) parents and all local authorities have gone through the roof.

With not enough SEND schools or specialist staff, teachers are left to juggle 30 completely different learners — all learning in their own way, at their own pace, with their own challenges and in a system that continually fails to support them.

Our teachers are expected to perform multiple roles each day whilst still trying to shape the future of young minds: they're expected to be an educator, counsellor, behaviour specialist, social worker, emotional anchor ... the list keeps growing and keeps moving away from the one thing they trained to be, A Teacher.

Added to this is our constantly evolving modern day life which is forcing our children and young people to grow up in a world that’s noisier, busier, and more stressful than ever.
Kids are dealing with anxiety, overstimulation, social media pressures, online bullying and exposure to things they should not be seeing, they are dealing with constant comparison, not enough downtime or sleep and to add insult to injury, they are also subject to modern day family stress.

If so many of us grown ups are trying to cope and get by in a world that has forgotten how to switch off, how do we really know what this is doing to our children? As a parent myself, I'm struggling at times to understand my young son's world and the difficulties he is and will be facing as he continues to make his way in life.

Teachers are having to navigate all of these things daily that go far beyond what they ever signed up for, filling every gap the system can’t, and it is for this reason that I want to give every teacher out there a massive THANK YOU for showing up each day for the sake of our children.

You really are ALL doing an incredible job in incredibly tough times.

As a small way of saying thank you, I want to give a little something back to one of these superheroes: A Gift Voucher for 60 minutes of Bliss.

You can nominate yourself (if you are a teacher) or nominate a teacher you know who deserves recognition this festive season (pop names in the comments)

For my regular clients working in education, I’d like to offer you a 20% discount on your pre-Christmas appointment. All I ask is that you like or share this post.

Thank you to each and everyone of you that continues to work in the Education Sector😊

Pain changes everything: the way we hold ourselves, the way we move, sit, and stand. Sometimes we’re aware of it, sometimes we don’t see it until someone else points it out (usually our partner telling us to “stand up straight” or “stop leaning to one side!”)

Body parts not moving as they should &/or poor posture isn't always due to getting older, it's probably because you ignored an issue that started way back.

If you or someone you know has recently told you to stand up straight or stop leaning to one side then it's time to see me 🤓

Hey ladies… it’s OUR day! 🎉 World Menopause Day! 🎉
WOOHOO — apparently it’s something to celebrate!

You know… the hot flushes, night sweats, brain fog, anxiety, mood swings, crap sleep, zero patience, turning into a woman possessed. 🔥😅

I’m 51, officially menopausal… and apparently, this is me now — menopausal for the rest of my life. How exciting! 🥳👊💪

But jokes aside, menopause isn’t just a phase you “get through.” It’s a full hormonal and brain reboot that affects everything — mood, energy, sleep, pain levels, you name it. I mean, as if periods weren't bad enough, now this 🤬

So today, I’m not celebrating the symptoms (they can trot on).
I’m celebrating the women navigating it — with humour, resilience, and a fan in every handbag.

To all of the beautiful, strong ladies who’s thinking, “Is it hot in here or is it just me losing the will to live and losing my mind?” — we're not alone, and we’re definitely not crazy. 💛

“So… what do you actually do?” It’s a question I get asked all the time. And honestly — it’s hard to squeeze into a neat little job title, because what I do isn’t exactly mainstream or traditional.

I'm a combination of a:
* Pain detective
* Nervous system whisperer
* Trauma-aware bodyworker
* Clinical reasoning ninja
* Stress and anxiety decoder
* Problem solver for complex cases
* A bridge between science & soul

So what do I do?
I help people feel human again 💛 This is where I shine 🌞

I’ve seen pain in every shape, size, and stubborn form. From people who have hit brick walls with the medical profession to those who have been living on painkillers for far too long.

I see clients who have tried multiple other therapists/practitioners, yet are still searching for answers and help with some form of pain issue.

Not all pain is the same, it has it's own set of circumstances, triggers, history, root causes - it's often complex but sometimes really quite simple.

Pain is as unique as the individual it lives with which is why a "one size fits all" approach doesn't always work.

I hear you, I ask you questions others may have missed, I see how it's getting you down, I spend the time with you that others may have overlooked as being critical to you feeling better.

Bliss is finding someone who helps you get more sleep and live with less pain.

Bliss is being able to move better, sleep better, live better.

Bliss is in Delamere Forest.

This is something I’ve heard more times than I can count & tends to be asked after a session where I’ve worked on an area they didn’t mention (but needed the most) or when underlying trapped trauma has come to the surface & released, even after spending years in talk therapy or not knowing it was still hanging on in there causing the issue they came to me with.

The truth is I don’t do spells, stir potions, hold moon rituals or light candles, I don't even drink herbal teas!

But I do use my many years of in-depth, hands-on training in multiple modalities, a deep understanding of the body and all it's systems, and a strong sense of intuition that tells me what you & your system isn’t saying out loud.

Over the years I've helped clients with pain that won’t shift, trauma stuck in the body & anxiety or burnout that’s worn them out.

And if that makes me a “white witch”… I’ll take it.

This right here is an average day in work. Do you have any of these issues? Have you tried "everything" else to resolve your pain or are you looking for a natural, holistic approach to dealing with pain with someone who doesn't see/treat you as just another appointment in their diary.

A high % of my clients have carried pain for a long time, they've learnt to live with it & have tried various other routes & felt they've run out of options so living with pain has had to become their new "normal".

None of these things are normal (or acceptable):
* Living with pain with no light at the end of the tunnel
* Having a body that fails to function properly
* Constantly finding ways to avoid pain
* Daily consumption of painkillers
* Having sleep disrupted / can't find a comfortable position
* Being told "there's nothing else we can do to help"

You haven't tried everything until you've found BLISS ✨

When this lovely chap & his wife arrived, he was unable to put any weight on his leg, using crutches & had been taking high doses of super strength painkillers from the GP which wasn't touching (or treating) the pain he was experiencing.

He hobbled in on 1 leg and after 1 treatment was more able to weight bear, after 3 treatments he left without using his crutches ☺️

Every client books in when pain has taken over. I only treat musculoskeletal pain conditions: chronic stuff, acute flares, stress-fuelled burnout & anxiety.

I blend hands-on advanced bodywork with clinical reasoning, intuition, biopsychosocial factors & a deep understanding & fascination of pain science.

Circuit Training? At my age 😲
I recently took the plunge into circuit training — something totally new for me. In my 20’s & 30’s I was an avid gym-goer and enjoyed boxing on a regular basis, but after hitting 50 and dealing with the menopause ups & downs plus the joys of an ever-growing pot belly & hips no matter what I did or didn’t eat, it was time to get back to doing some exercise that actually made a difference to my physical & mental health.

So ..... I took the plunge and joined: https://www.facebook.com/fitnesshero
David Thompson FitnessHero.co.uk

Early morning classes so I can get my day off to a great start. It’s not easy getting up and out so early but I’m showing up & my body is starting to thank me.

Was it easy? Nope. Was it worth it? Absolutely.

Big thanks to David for setting up a space with zero judgement, no mirrors to freak out over, no gym flex-offs — just a super friendly community and a fabulous, experienced trainer who quietly pushes us all to do a bit more each week.

If you’re looking to get back to exercise but not sure where to start… this might just be the place for you. 💪
