Teachers: the unsung superheroes of 2025: Win a FREE TREATMENT: 60mins of BLISS.
It's only when you know a teacher that you realise just how broken the system is.
Our teachers show up each day for our children but they’re working within a system that’s simply not built for the reality they’re now facing. Class sizes are rising, budgets keep shrinking, targets are increasing, staff numbers are dwindling, class preparation continues to be incredibly difficult, and expectations from (some) parents and all local authorities have gone through the roof.
With not enough SEND schools or specialist staff, teachers are left to juggle 30 completely different learners — all learning in their own way, at their own pace, with their own challenges and in a system that continually fails to support them.
Our teachers are expected to perform multiple roles each day whilst still trying to shape the future of young minds: they're expected to be an educator, counsellor, behaviour specialist, social worker, emotional anchor ... the list keeps growing and keeps moving away from the one thing they trained to be, A Teacher.
Added to this is our constantly evolving modern day life which is forcing our children and young people to grow up in a world that’s noisier, busier, and more stressful than ever.
Kids are dealing with anxiety, overstimulation, social media pressures, online bullying and exposure to things they should not be seeing, they are dealing with constant comparison, not enough downtime or sleep and to add insult to injury, they are also subject to modern day family stress.
If so many of us grown ups are trying to cope and get by in a world that has forgotten how to switch off, how do we really know what this is doing to our children? As a parent myself, I'm struggling at times to understand my young son's world and the difficulties he is and will be facing as he continues to make his way in life.
Teachers are having to navigate all of these things daily that go far beyond what they ever signed up for, filling every gap the system can’t, and it is for this reason that I want to give every teacher out there a massive THANK YOU for showing up each day for the sake of our children.
You really are ALL doing an incredible job in incredibly tough times.
As a small way of saying thank you, I want to give a little something back to one of these superheroes: A Gift Voucher for 60 minutes of Bliss.
You can nominate yourself (if you are a teacher) or nominate a teacher you know who deserves recognition this festive season (pop names in the comments)
For my regular clients working in education, I’d like to offer you a 20% discount on your pre-Christmas appointment. All I ask is that you like or share this post.
