Apprentice Support Worker

Role Overview
As an Apprentice Support Worker, you will support individuals with daily living tasks while working towards a recognised Health & Social Care qualification. You will promote independence, dignity, and a high standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

* Support with personal care, meals, and daily routines
* Encourage independence and community involvement
* Monitor wellbeing and report any concerns
* Follow safeguarding and care plans
* Complete training and coursework as part of the apprenticeship

Skills & Qualities

Requirements

* No experience needed – full training provided
* Willingness to complete apprenticeship qualification

Poppy Cottage is looking for a compassionate and reliable Sleep-In Night Support Worker to join our team.

This role involves being present overnight to ensure the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or additional support requirements.

You will provide reassurance and assistance if needed during the night, helping to maintain a calm and secure environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Remain on-site overnight and respond to any needs or emergencies
Provide reassurance and support as required during the night
Promote independence while ensuring safety and wellbeing
Assist with personal care if required
Carry out basic checks and ensure the environment remains safe
Complete accurate records if any support is provided overnight
Support with light morning routines if needed

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Caring, patient, and dependable individuals
Good communication and observation skills
Ability to remain calm and responsive during the night
Previous care experience is helpful but not essential
