We can also offer full Traditional Funerals to families too from our sister company AF Whites. Blacks Carriage Masters is a small family run company based in Ashton Under Lyne Tameside Manchester and have available to hire to local funeral directors our Mercedes E class hearse and limousines. This is a service we can offer if ever one of your existing fleet is off the road for any reason or you may just need an extra limousine for the day for larger funerals. All our vehicles are highly maintained and in very good condition and each vehicle will arrive to you fully valeted and come with appropriately dressed driver/ bearer. We also have available our private ambulance for repatriations across the uk. We can also offer a full funeral service from £2350

Job description:
Funeral Driver – Casual, Self-Employed {Based in Ashton Under Lyne)

We are seeking a smart, dignified, and reliable individuals to work as a funeral driver on a casual, self-employed basis. The role involves driving on funerals in our hearses or limousines around the Manchester, Oldham and Stockport area, with in our base in Tameside.

About the role:

Casual, self-employed position – work offered as and when required
Duties involve driving funeral vehicles during services (no vehicle cleaning required – cars are prepared in advance)
Paid per funeral
Ideal for a semi-retired person / self employed person looking for flexible extra work

Requirements:
Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
Over 25 years old
Previous experience as a funeral operative or driver preferred
Smart, professional appearance and a respectful manner at all times.

Please note this is not part time its casual as and when needed, paid per funeral so you could possibly fit in with other work commitments.

One of our older hearses, which we sold last month, has made its way down to Nottingham and undergone quite the transformation! Now sporting a bold red finish, it's looking great, perfect for any Nottingham Forest fan.

Sadly, it’s not much use to us here in Manchester (wrong team, obviously!). But if any Forest supporters are interested in using it, let us know, we’d be happy to put you in touch with the new owner.
