FIBRE is in the news again.

Back in the 80s, it was a big focus with the F-plan diet — and not much has changed.

You get fibre from:
• legumes 🫘 (lentils, chickpeas, beans)
• whole grains 🌾 (oats, barley, whole wheat)
• seeds 🌰 (chia, flax, psyllium)
• vegetables 🥦
• fruit 🍓 (raspberries)
• nuts 🥜

Raspberries are one of the highest-fibre fruits, and they’re a favourite of mine.

Sometimes the basics are worth repeating.

💩Introduce it gradually so your system can adjust

WELCOME TO THE HUB

The Lime Tree Wellness Hub was set up in 2018

It was originally a personal blog just in a different page and a way of communicating with the outside world after finishing a career in mental health nursing. The aim of the page was pretty much to write a blog about life and how everyday stuff impacts on our body and mind.. it was about people, things, food and healthy living. I also set up a coffee group with some like minded people wanting to chat about everyday things and our food choices. This also included a coffee morning and health walking.

I’m taking an exciting step in my direction of travel and hopefully of yours. This page and my website (to be launched in July 2020).

These page and the website are going to filled with content which will hopefully make our lives fuller, give us insights and hope. They educate and inform us and It would be great if they could give us a feeling that we can do anything. I hope they will be a good read, beautiful to look at, they will be food for thought and above everything you will want to share them and keep coming back.
