Worried about how many words your toddler is using? Try these 2 things:
Reduce questions: this places a demand on the child, especially if they don’t have the words to answer those questions yet!
Instead of asking questions, turn them into comments e.g. instead of asking what colour is it? Label it - green / it’s green!

What kind of things should I add into my bucket?
There’s no rules, as long as it’s high interest and fun to watch!
Find a mixture of toys that:
- light up
- wind up
- make noise or music
- pop up/ fly / stretch / bounce / spin

I love to pick one from each category for my bucket time Stage 1.
