This is what 4 months of consistency looks like and we couldn’t be prouder of this amazing client.

At 55 years old, she made the decision to commit to her health, and the results speak for themselves.

Metabolic age: 70 → 54
ā¬‡ļø 7.6kg body mass
ā¬‡ļø 6.9% body fat
ā¬†ļø Muscle mass
ā¬‡ļø Visceral fat

She didn’t just lose weight but she improved her health across the board.

The most inspiring part is that this wasn’t extreme.

She achieved this while still doing the things she loves and enjoying her life but just with structure and consistency.

Losing weight while gaining muscle doesn’t happen by accident. It takes discipline, a clear plan, and the right adjustments along the way.

Structured training, proper fuelling, and data-led decisions over time are exactly how this was achieved and this is what long-term health looks like.

If you’re only tracking the scales, you’re missing the bigger picture.

If you’re ready to make a real change to your health, DM us ā€˜TRANSFORM’ and let’s get startedšŸ’ŖšŸ½

Hydration isn’t just about drinking more water.

When you train, you lose both fluid and electrolytes, particularly sodium, through sweat. Replacing water alone may not fully restore balance, especially if training frequency, intensity, or environmental heat is high.

That said, electrolytes aren’t needed by everyone, all the time.

Requirements depend on:
• Sweat rate
• Session duration
• Training load
• Environment
• Individual physiology

Performance nutrition is contextual, not trend-based.

At Ignite, we don’t apply generic advice.

We assess training demand, lifestyle, recovery patterns, and physiology to structure personalised nutrition strategies that support measurable progress.

From hydration planning to full nutrition support, everything is tailored around the individual, not assumptions.

If you’re training consistently but feel flat, fatigued, or inconsistent in performance, your fuelling strategy may need more precision.

We’re breaking down the difference between Quantitative and Qualitative research methods šŸ“ŠšŸ—£ļø

In sports performance, the numbers (Quantitative) are obviously huge, stats, speed, load. But today, I’m getting the players to focus on the Qualitative side.

We’re diving into how Interviews, Focus Groups, and Observations unlock the data that spreadsheets miss.

It’s not just about what is happening on the pitch, but why and how players are experiencing it.

Always love seeing athletes engage with the academic side of performance.

VOā‚‚ max testing at Ignite šŸ”¬šŸƒšŸ½ā€ā™‚ļøšŸš“ā€ā™‚ļø

VOā‚‚ max measures the maximum amount of oxygen your body can take in, transport, and use during exercise.

In simple terms, it reflects the capacity of your heart, lungs, and muscles to work together under increasing demand.

During a VOā‚‚ max test, we analyse:

• Oxygen uptake and carbon dioxide production
• Cardiorespiratory efficiency
• How your body responds as intensity progressively increases

This gives us a clear picture of your aerobic capacity, which is strongly linked to endurance performance, metabolic health, and long-term cardiovascular fitness.

For those who want to go a step further, lactate threshold testing can be added on.
This involves blood lactate sampling to identify the exact intensities where fatigue begins to accumulate, allowing for even more precise training prescription.

Why does this matter?

Because training based on your own physiology allows us to:
āœ”ļø Build accurate, individualised training zones
āœ”ļø Improve fitness without unnecessary fatigue
āœ”ļø Track progress objectively over time
āœ”ļø Remove guesswork from cardio training

At Ignite, we use this data to create fully personalised training and nutrition strategies, tailored to your goals. Whether that’s performance, health, or longevity.

This is evidence-led coaching, done properly.

If you want to understand your body beyond generic fitness metrics, get in touch to get started!

A common trend we’re seeing in our blood analysis work at the moment: elevated magnesium.

Magnesium is essential for energy production, muscle and nerve function, and recovery. Which is why it’s so widely promoted online.

But one pattern we’re noticing is that elevated levels are often linked to long-term or stacked supplementation, rather than food intake alone.

Whole foods that contain magnesium (like nuts, seeds, leafy greens and wholegrains) are rarely the issue.

This highlights an important point:
supplementation works best when it’s personalised, purposeful, and monitored. It shouldn’t be based on trends or assumptions.

At Ignite, we use blood data to understand what the body actually needs, so we can support health without over- or under-correcting.
