🌿 SPOTLIGHT ON A PRACTICE - YIN YOGA 🌿
Yin yoga (aka Yoga Stretch) is a practice that focuses on deep release of the connective tissue in the body.
The practice asks that you soften and relax into an asana/pose, but not by going to the full expression of an asana but finding that sweet spot of subtle engagement and softening in.
An asana/pose is held for a longer length of time to allow the connective tissues to reconfigure, releasing stiffness and tension throughout the body.
