No, adding ingredients to your water doesn't 'burn fat' 'change your PH' or turn water in to some form of magical potion! But it can make drinking water easier and give you a boost!

If youβ€˜re someone whoβ€˜s used to drinking things with a specific taste, then it is more
than likely you donβ€˜t enjoy plain water all that much. Well, luckily, there are things you can add to water that will not only make it tastier but also provide a flurry of nutrients.
Lemon, lime, cucumber, and chia seeds are the 4 magical ingredients that can spice up
a regular jug of water.

These will provide a bitter taste and a flurry of vitamins and minerals, that will support
your body throughout the entire day

Nevertheless, as good as water is, you should avoid drinking too much, as that may
mess with your body.
Ultimately, youβ€˜re looking at a daily intake of 2-4 liters, depending on bodyweight & the
climate of your area

Rest and Recovery!

Physical aswell as mental recovery are all apart of the process.

Spending some time in the sun (Getting the D πŸ†) a lot of the population have a VitD deficiency..... relaxing in some cool water reduces stress and relaxes the body.... Reading a book, relaxes the body and keeps the mind active but in a stress reducing state. It also lowers blood pressure and heart rate.

When you can, take some time to yourself and chill! πŸ₯΅

My first time back in an actual gym!!

Last time I stepped foot in was last september and that was only for a couple of weeks.

Since then I've done very little training and just spent time on learning. Over the last couple of weeks I've slowly gotten back in to consistently training at home (luckily I have everything I need) but today has made me realise how much the gym environment can help your focus!

Do I prefer training at home? Well yes its time saving as no traveling.

Is the gym better? Yes in so many factors. Environment, equipment....no constantly moving things and setting things up.

Will I stay training at home? Yes and no. I'll potentially be moving back to a mixture depending on my schedule and work!

All I can say is wow. It feels good to be back!!

As Dr. Seuss said "Why fit in when you were born to stand out!"

Too much energy spent trying to fit in. Trying to be seen as cool or doing the 'in' thing.

Take a step back and realise that trying to fit in isn't a good thing. We were all born to be amazing and its your time to shine.

When you stand out, they will be trying to fit in with you! Screw social norms and be better!

Nowadays, people primarily focus on 3 types of training:
1. Heavy strength training (Powerlifting)
2. Bodybuilding training
3. Aerobic training (cardio like running, rope jumping, etc)

Each of these types leads to a different end result, due to the different demand for the
body.
For instance, powerlifting primarily results in increases in relative and maximal strength,
along with some muscle growth.
Bodybuilding training is what you want to go for if youβ€˜re looking to develop the most
aesthetic body possible.
Last but not least, aerobic training (cardio) is a good addition to any workout, as it
improves the work of the heart and lungs.
This in turn increases endurance and boosts the blood flow in the entire body, leading to
better recovery overall.
When structuring your training plan, your best bet would be to combine many types of
training but give the focus to the one that most fits your goals.

Having a plan of action is one thing but sticking to that plan and yielding consistent
results is a whole other story.

Many people think they need "motivation" to get started and keep going but the truth is,
requiring motivation is the most certain way to fail...Because there will be days where you have 0 motivation.

If you develop discipline & create new habits, you WONβ€˜T NEED motivation....On top of that, you should work on setting realistic goals, as that will lower your expectations and show you the true nature of progress.

Last but not least, hiring someone whoβ€˜s educated on fitness, nutrition & health, is also a good strategy, since it will save you a lot of mistakes. Ultimately, your best bet is to rely on the fact that each and every action you take
towards your improvement, is for your own, greater good.

This is the ultimate source of motivation

The question of "when" it is best to do your strength training workout, has bothered
quite a few trainees.
If we look away from trends that tell you that fasted training, in the morning is your best
option, we can conclude a couple of things:
1. In the morning, youβ€˜re drowsy
2. Energy levels are low
3. You have not eaten anything yet
4. Whereβ€˜s my goddamn coffee?
For all these reasons, doing strength training in the morning will likely lead to suboptimal
results.
You would likely be better off training in the afternoon when you are more awake and
alert and have ingested some food (i.e loaded on energy for a heavy workout).
This is the better option, as intense training by nature requires a good amount of energy
for both the activity and the recovery afterward

Coffee and its active ingredient caffeine, have been classified as one of the most
effective performance-enhancing supplements.
Caffeine will improve your performance across all aspects, with the most prominent
effects being felt as:
1. Increased mental focus
2. Optimized strength
3. Elevated strength & cardio endurance
As caffeine stimulates the brain and the central nervous system, it leads to greater
overall output, during your training sessions.
This ingredient can be found in many forms, with the most common being coffee.
Nevertheless, due to its effectiveness, caffeine is included in energy drinks, pre-workout
supplements, as well as cognitive boost products.
Ultimately your best bet would be to consume your caffeinated products within 30-40
minutes before a workout.
Last but not least, it is important to avoid consuming caffeine in the hours before
bedtime, as that may disrupt your sleep cycle

Break your habits!

Social media has become a massive part of everyones lives. It keeps us connected but it is also dangerous.

Social media is toxic. It is full of fake perfection, misinformation, and it creates a negative belief system.

It is also a time suck! How many times have you logged on to a social feed and an hour later still been reading?

Take a break from social media and enjoy your surroundings. Unplug for a few hours and you will feel free! Use the time to plan your goals and go out there and crush them!
