About Des Gosling Mobility
Providing mobility solutions for the disabled to get behind the wheel, Des Gosling Mobility Ltd was founded in 1993 with the aim of providing excellent products and service standards, whilst remaining a small, warm and friendly business capable of creating all manner of vehicle adaptations. Located in Melbourne, South Derbyshire, Des Gosling Mobility is Motability Accredited, meaning the Company is able to fit vehicles with a wide range of products from leading manufacturers.
Des’ career began at Rolls Royce where he spent many years as an engineer for the world-famous aero-engine manufacturer. Inspired by the example of his brother Jeff, who established Jeff Gosling Hand Controls, he founded Des Gosling Mobility Ltd. Today, the company employs a team of engineers, who work alongside Des to install mobility equipment, as well as find and create bespoke solutions to make your car work for you, whatever your disability.
❝We offer a wide range of solutions, so we’re happy to talk customers and car dealerships through the options available. Even if we’re unable to find a solution for their needs in our standard range of adaptations, we’re happy to create a bespoke solution for their specific requirements. There are a number of products that customers can try out in our demonstration vehicles, and we’re happy to provide a quote before any work is done. As we’re part of the Motability scheme, we get a lot of customers through that and many of them come back to us time and time again.
We pride ourselves on providing a friendly service and good advice based on lots of experience. Many of our customers have been disabled for a long time so are well aware of what’s available and what suits their specific needs. However, we do get customers who are newly disabled or those who are coming to us because they’re getting older, and we appreciate that it’s a whole new world for them.
