Michelle Hodgson Person-Centred Counsellor Confidential service providing Person-Centred counselling and Clinical Supervision I have a range of experience working with children with special needs.

I am a qualified and BACP registered Counsellor offering adult one-to-one therapy in Derby. Person-Centred counselling provides an opportunity to have a meaningful relationship based on genuine warmth, acceptance and unconditional positive regard. This may be helpful when working through a difficult life experience or any life change and/or transition. Through the counselling relationship an individual can gradually begin to explore facets of their experience which are challenging. It is my belief that people have the capacity to grow towards fulfilling their potential and are the expert on their own life. Talking therapy can be a growthful experience, developing self awareness and personal insight with a self determined approach towards healing. I also work with children and young people supporting individuals work through anxiety and distress due to a wide range of experiences including; family difficulties, grief and loss, self -harm, bullying and experiences of abuse. My work helps children explore stressful and adverse experiences, promoting self-esteem and resilience.
