Celebrating the spirit of the Lunar New Year with creativity and tradition. A staff member has been supporting a service user in learning how to write the Chinese character “Fu”, meaning fortune and good luck, using traditional brush calligraphy. Together, they have been carefully crafting beautiful red banners, symbols of prosperity and happiness to mark the festive season. It’s a wonderful opportunity to build new skills, embrace culture, and welcome the year ahead with positivity, good fortune, and shared achievement.

A special day filled with memories and meaning 🚗

We visited the Great British Car Journey Museum, where our service user shared stories of the past while standing between two very special cars, one his dad owned, and one his grandad owned when he was younger.

Moments like these remind us that it’s not just about the cars, but the memories, the connections, and the journeys that shape us.

Our first Twyford Walking Group session 🥾🌿
We headed to Alvaston Park, fed the ducks 🦆 and enjoyed a lovely walk together. It may have been raining when we set off, but the skies cleared and so did the mood ☀️ Everyone had such a wonderful time.

Volunteering at Island Haven Community Farm 🌿
Each week, our service user helps care for the animals, cleaning out pens, feeding them, and learning all about their needs from the amazing farm staff 🐾
He’s formed a special bond with the llama (and loves chatting to it 🦙💬), and this experience has been a huge confidence boost.
He now attends independently, engages with staff and fellow volunteers, and even supports new volunteers by showing them the ropes.
A wonderful example of growth, connection, and community 💚

We’re proud to share some great news from Twyford Care Group!

We have expanded our Mental Health Support Team with five new team members, strengthening the care and support we provide across our services. Even more exciting, three of our new colleagues are stepping into a new career pathway in mental health, developing their skills and growing their expertise to better support those we care for.

This expansion reflects our continued commitment to investing in people, professional development, and high-quality mental health support.
