Here are my thoughts for everyone who focuses on the reading's on the scales alone. Stop, just please stop now an here are some reason why folks:
Your weight goes up an down throughout the day. During the course of the day, your weight can vary by up to several pounds, depending on your nutritional intake.
Obviously, first thing in the morning your at your lightest simply because u haven't eaten since the night before, even simple weight differences like this can make it difficult for us to compare results from one day to the next.
Your actual weight doesn’t tell you anything about the amount of body fat you may have lost.
Dont forget muscle weighs more than fat, so dont stress to much if you are not losing lbs in the scales, you may be losing fat and gaining muscle, which is 100 times better for your health and even how you look overall .
I believe that the best way to measure weight loss, is to use a measuring tape.
You should make a note of your measurements when you decide that you want lose some weight, and then again every 4 - 6 weeks depending on how long you set your overall goal. I personally measure a few places on the body such as Upper arm, chest, waist, hips and Thighs.
Heres another reason not to focus on scales especially throughout the day folks, 1 litre of water weighs 1kg. So simply the more you drink the more you will weigh not to say that you should not drink water, if you leave yourself dehydrated, you may be a little bit lighter, but this is certainly not healthy for your body.
Since you can’t know for sure what percentage of water you have in your body from one moment to the next, you can’t be sure how much of the number on the scale is simply due to water weight. Women in particular may notice these shifts in water weight at certain times of the month, but will pass as normal in a few days.
I feel that this is one of the most important reasons personally. If you are the kind of person who gets disheartened when you see a number on the scale which you didn't expect to see for the wrong reasons, my advice is don't get on them in the first place.
Health & fitness is not an overnight thing or even a 4-6 week transformation, it's a long term commitment, so again dont focus on the scales and instead focus on eating well, exercising regularly, and being healthy.
These are only a few things that I feel have an effect on weight loss, these aren't the only factors but if anyone has any questions or any thoughts on any of the topics I've discussed above feel more than free to contact me... I'm always happy to help 😊😊
