Kathleen’s son Seamus, daughters MaryClaire, Donna, Colette, Pauline and Michelle; sons-in-law Raymond, Lee and Darren; and grandchildren Rhianna, Cahír, Ava, Indiya, Riley, Daniel, Jack and Grace wish to express their sincere and heartfelt thanks to all their family, friends, neighbours and the wider community who supported them during their very sad bereavement.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass cards, text messages and online messages of sympathy.
To our kind family, neighbours and friends who helped prepare for the wake, brought food, made tea and refreshments, and assisted in any way, we are deeply grateful. Your kindness, compassion and generosity meant so much to us and will never be forgotten.
A special word of thanks to Fr McGirr, who visited Kathleen to provide spiritual guidance and support, and for celebrating the Requiem Mass, which was a beautiful and fitting tribute to Kathleen. Thank you also to Fr Noel McDermott for visiting the wake house.
Sincere thanks to the carers who cared for Kathleen in her home over the past nine years. Your dedication, kindness and friendship to Kathleen were greatly appreciated by us all.
Our heartfelt thanks to Dr Knox, Dr Gill, Dr Byrne, the Claudy District Nurses and the Hospital at Home Team for the compassionate, devoted and unwavering care provided to Kathleen. Thank you also to Declan and Cathy at Feeny Pharmacy for their continued support and help over the years.
A special thank you to the Marie Curie nurse, Amanda for the support she gave to us as a family at the time of Kathleen’s passing. We could not have coped without your care and compassion.
Thank you to Joelene and Martin for the beautiful music, which truly enriched the Mass, and to Cathal’s Flowers for the lovely floral arrangements.
We also convey our appreciation to the sacristans and to everyone who took part in the Mass in any way.
Our sincere thanks to the grave digger, Shane, for preparing Kathleen’s final resting place.
We extend our deepest thanks to Seamus, Deborah and all the team at McLaughlin Funeral Directors for the professional, caring and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.
Thank you to Alison and her team for providing the beautiful refreshments after the burial, and to Park Hall for the use of its facilities.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest appreciation for all the kindness and support shown to us during this difficult time.
Eternal rest grant unto her soul, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
Deeply loved and sadly missed by her children, sons-in-law, grandchildren, sister Annie, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Kathleen’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 8th February 2026 in St Mary’s Church, Altinure, at 10.30am.
The mass will be offered for all your intentions.
