Is this a mum tum, or is this actually just normal?

The biggest fear from mums, is having a mum tum forever, however what does that actually mean, and how can you fix it?

Simply comment "Guide" to get our postpartum guide on this topic.

But what makes up postpartum recovery

While most of you probably worry about the foods you eat, that's not the best area to focus on yet.

Core strength and testing, ab separation and to what extent, pelvic & posture alignment and of course scar health if you had a CS.

Once you heal the right areas you will see success much quicker than you currently are.

So many mums message me years later still in pain, aching, unhappy with their core after trying literally everything.

But then I realized they didn't do any of these focus points around recovery, they dived into dieting more than anything.

And to get our postpartum guide, simple comment "GUIDE' and youll get it for free and instantly know your next 2-3 best areas to focus on to finally get the results you deserve for your core

A mum who had twins, continues to show whats possible ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

A total of 6 months working together, and no its not 6 months postpartum work.

This all started when she was 26 weeks pregnant and joined our pregnant & powerful online program, with the goal of having a vaginal birth...with twins.

And guess what she had it ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ.

Showing your pregnancy health has a solid foundation for whats to come.

Then she joined our postpartum mastery 8 week program, with the goal of getting strong & pain free to carry her two little boys about ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ .

And guess what she has successfully completed that too.

As she now is on her first family holiday as a mum ๐Ÿ˜Š

Showing that you too can get the results you want as a mum.

Lack time? So did she but she did what she could with the time she had.

Lack energy? So did she, but she made sure what she did would actually work.

Lack motivation? So did she as a mum of twins, so she joined a group community, our 8 week recovery program.

Have a goal? So did she, so she made sure to reach out to ask for her, on how to achieve her goal the quickest, safest way.

When should we have our next 8 week postpartum challenge... ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

What's your dream birth?

And how would you feel if you achieved what you fully deserve?

This mum felt she failed the first time round, emergency CS a number of years ago.

For years she felt it was her fault, but she still knew it wasn't what she wanted.

Birthing her own children was something she truly wanted, and from the comfort of her own home, in the pool.

The vibe, the energy, the environment all under her control.

But there was still the fear, looming over her shoulder of her first experience and being rushed to theatre...

So we got to work on the things we can control as a team and what strengths to build and weakness to enhance.

From starting working together from the first trimester, we had it all mapped out. Week by week, trimester by trimester, with the end goal of having her dream birth.

And what a journey it was

To see this photo when i woke up being shared with me, meant a lot.

The process, the roadmap it all worked perfectly

But most importantly she got the birth story she fully deserved

You might connect to one of these.. or more?

CS scar health is slowly getting the time and attention it deserves, more so online knowledge.

Still a long place away from optimal postpartum CS care.

But these stats are just a few of many, and it highlights the importance of scar health and the impact it can have on other areas.

What's it connected to, what effect is this having else where and what working on your scar may boost elsewhere.

One of the most reassuring points to scar health is time and cost.

You can do it at home in as little as 5-10mins per day with an ointment of your choice.

Of course certain ointments get better results at different time, but massaging is free

In a few week you will be glad you started, when you see that scar look and feel healthier.

Do you relate to any of these stats?

Is your lower back starting to feel the pull as your bump grows?

When your center of gravity shifts forward in later pregnancy, it is common to lose that connection to your glutes and hamstrings.

This is why I use feet-raised hip hinges with all our clients once they hit the second and third trimesters.

Do they still have strength workouts yes! But it's important to work on everything, not just strength.

Remember you need balance, strength, mobility, alignment, stability, load management, recovery..

Have you noticed your posture changing as you get closer to your due date?

Elevating the toes is a simple way to shift that weight back into your heels where it belongs. It helps you find a deeper stretch in the hamstrings without straining your spine and creates more stability when your joints feel a bit looser.

This is also why so many stop working out. They don't know how to alter themselves to be safe and still strong during their pregnancy.

And also why my members are working right up to the final weeks & days of their pregnancy.

Traumatized. Failure. Self blame.. ๐Ÿ’”

That's how mums usually feel after having a CS when it wasn't their preferred birth mode.

And this mum was no different.

She worked with me from as early as 12 weeks, active, regular gym goer, healthy eating, lifting weights. All the things research says will increase vaginal deliveries and reduce CS.

Which is true

But what happened next she wasn't expecting.

After getting to 9cm with no pain relief, it was all going according to plan, vaginal birth number 4, never in doubt.

Then things changed, babies HR drops and emergency CS.

Everything went south from 9cm, the CS was never a thought, the recovery she never did before, the infections were massive setbacks...

I continued to reassure her, if she completes A and B this week as an example, shes doing enough to heal, grow and strength.

And so she did. Every week A and B were being ticked off, we added in extras, continued to grow, infections were gone, scar was healing, core was strengthening and she was starting to feel like herself again.

While others would have quit.

This mum of 4 didn't.

What she also doesn't realise, is the 6 months of pregnancy work. Helped her recovery massively, having laid solid foundations and promoting a quicker recovery than others.

Induction of labour ๐Ÿฅ

Approximately 1:3 births in the UK, America & Australia are reported to have started with an induction process.

Whether it was successful or not, 1:3 have intervention to begin with.

But how would you rate your induction process, was it positive?

A vaginal birth with twins...

Something you don't hear of every day and i was extremely happy to play a part.

We started working together from around 25 weeks of her pregnancy, an experienced gym goer, active this pregnancy, however there was no plan in place, no direction, just "staying fit"

The goal was to have a vaginal birth..

So of course we put a plan in place, focusing a lot on rib mobility to create space, core strength to reduce or prevent back pain in the final trimester and pelvic stability, being able to feel strong in positions she may want to birth in..

That was the 3 main focus points..

Fast forward 12 weeks and her dream birth happened.

One she thought she could never do, was told she shouldn't & as a first time mum, listened to all the advice she was being given

But her body had other ideas, her body knew she was strong enough and could do it

Her consistency of showing up, working out, sticking to the plan laid a solid foundation for when the time came.

And when it came she was correct, she was stronger than she ever thought, she proved she was capable and she showed that programming increases your chances of having a vaginal birth...

Its why we have a 93% success rate of vaginal birth for all our members

Building individual programs that follow guidance and research.
