About Us

Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors is an independent, 3rd generation, family owned business with over 50 years experience in caring for the bereaved and their families in Derry and across the wider Northwest. Originally established by friends Charlie Bradley and Denis McLaughlin, the business was then taken on by Charlie's sons, John and Alex. Following John's death in 2017, Alex's son, Charles, rejoined him within the business to take over running the business. In addition to Alex and Charles, the team at Bradley & McLaughlin have many years combined experience in the funeral industry - Denis McLaughlin (Denis' son), Charlie McLaughlin, Joe Parke, Kieran Dunne and Paul Farren. We offer at need funeral services and bespoke funeral plans with flexible repayment arrangements and pre-arranged/pre-paid funeral packages. Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors Ltd is an appointed representative of Golden Charter Limited trading as Golden Charter Funeral Plans which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN:965279). We are full members of the Irish Association of Funeral Directors and adhere to their Code of Practice.

The family of the late Paula Kivelehan would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation for all the kindness, support and sympathy they received during there recent bereavement.

A special thank you to Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors for their help and support and compassionate way they carried out the wake and funeral arrangements. To lakelands crematorium for a beautiful service.

Professor Fabian Monds, CBE, (formerly of East View Terrace, Omagh), 13th. November 2025 peacefully, after a long illness, at his home 7 Oak Country Green, Crescent Link, beloved husband of Eileen, loving father of Aisling and Niamh, devoted grandfather of Aodhgan, Bridie, Aran, Catlin and Ryan, dear son of the late James and Bridget, cherished brother of Noel and the late Sean, Pearl and Junior and a loving uncle to all his nephews and nieces. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle.

Funeral leaving his home on Monday 17th. November at 9:20 a.m. to St. Columba’s Church, Long Tower for Requiem Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery.

Ethna Davis, wife of the late Hugh (Late of Bantry Road), Died 17th November 2020.

You were the most wonderful mum, a treasure that could never be replaced, you nurtured me with your tender love and supported me in every way.

One in a million, I will never forget the precious times we had. Memories of you I will always cherish knowing how deeply you cared.

Mum, our special bond was priceless, you were my dearest friend, I never doubted your compassion right until the very end, your love meant the world to me, I miss your warmth, so gentle and kind, your spirit will live on forever, in my heart and in my mind.

Ethna's Anniversary Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty Parish on Sunday 16th November at 11am.

Forever loved and missed by Claire and Thomas, her children, son-in-law Declan and grandchildren, Lennon, Mací, Lucy & Julia.

The daughters, relatives near and far of the late Rose Reynolds wish to thank most sincerely all who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement. Those who sent mass cards, messages of sympathy and floral tributes, called at the house and attended the Mass and Funeral. A very special thanks to the carers who looked after mum during her illness with Alzheimer's. All the nursing staff and doctors at the Waterside Hospital, Father Canny at Waterside Chapel, friends and neighbours of 8 Bentley Terrace.

The family of Maeve Kerr wishes to express our heartfelt thanks for the kindness, support and sympathy shown following her recent passing.

Thank you to our extended family, friends and neighbours who called to the house, brought gifts, sent cards, messaged, telephoned and helped during the wake. Special word of thanks to Carmen, Michelle and Clare.

Thank you to those who attended the funeral.

We are especially grateful for the exceptional care she received in her later years. Our sincere thanks to all her wonderful carers especially Amanda, Elaine and Olivia whose dedication, compassion and friendship meant so much to her and the family.
Also, to the people who helped us care for Mum in her last weeks of life. The Home Care Team at the Foyle Hospice, especially Sr. Pamela Coyle whose compassion and professionalism helped with Mum and us a family. To all the staff at City-view Medical, GPs Dr Clare Sweeney and Dr. Clare Courtney. To Sr. Eleanor Campbell and the district nursing team for the exceptional care provided. To Western Urgent Care and to the Marie Curie nursing service Anne and Jane for their assistance.

We wish to express deep gratitude to the spiritual care given to Mum by Fr. Patrick Lagan, also to Fr. Michael Canny for celebrating Mums funeral mass. Thanks to Erin Carlin for her beautiful singing and music.

Finally, thanks to Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors for all the guidance and support during our bereavement, especially Joe, Paul and Kieran for their assistance.
