Core Transformation

Core Transformation Welcome to Core Transformation, we specialise in providing the best quality of care for your physical health.

As an Injury Rehabilitation clinic accredited by BASRaT (www.basrat.org) we live by our integrity and passion to improve functional wellbeing. CORE TRANSFORMATION’s central principle is that no individual should live or accept pain, be it physical or emotional. Too often in today’s world we approach the emotional and physical well-being of individuals as a separate challenge. At CORE TRANSFORMATION we utilise a BIOSOCIAL model in all our therapy, treating the whole not just the part. Put simply, this approach acknowledges the interaction and interconnection between individuals physical and mental well-being. With evidence proving the physiological and psychological are connected, CORE TRANSORMATION delivers therapy and recovery aimed at treating the whole individual. Ensuring injuries can be assessed and treated while also ensuring an individual has the support and tools to process and overcome any associated negative feelings. We are not limited to treating injuries that occur by accident or sport. Anyone not able to use their body in the way they wish can and will be assessed. We believe that as we progress through the years, it is prudent to:

o Reassess one’s priorities
o Set new goals
o Reflect on the events and challenges that have affected you
o What changes needs to occur
o And most importantly, how you can identify those opportunities that still are available

With aging, it offers both physical and psychological challenges that require a more nuanced approach to your holistic health. At CORE TRANSFORMATION, we utilise a multitude of therapies and interventions across both the mental and physical discipline’s that are tailored to aid in ensuring middle age is not a period to fear, but rather show it is a period of significant opportunity. Offering bespoke packages for both men and women, CORE TRANSFORMATION appreciates that life has challenges that exist in a multitude of environments both personal and professional and that both the body and mind must be treated simultaneously for true recovery to occur.

Going forward, I will be adding a patient focus snippets here and adding a page onto my website (in due course) to show the range of injuries and conditions I treat…

This collar bone was a tricky one, it kept sliding and causing pain sticking out of the skin so plating was the best course of action. These photos are given by permission of the patient. They show the early stage of the injury.

Injuries can look and feel scary but not only am I here to help manage pain and get moving again, I am also here to help manage the emotions and rationalising of your injury, going forward to returning to sport/gym/work with confidence.

I’ve never worn these types of Hokas before so I want my feet to get used to the areas of pressure and also stability in every day walking as well as running. It is a good way of reducing the chance of any unnecessary niggles. Different pressure points in the foot can often cause different biomechanics, nothing to be worried about. If I was just running 10km I wouldn’t be doing this but I want to mitigate any potential ‘stressors’ on my ankles/knees as I am not as ‘bounce backable’ as I used to be!
