Recently, our team at KL & Sons Building Services Ltd were called to a retirement home in Melksham to investigate visible cracking within the building. What initially appeared to be surface-level damage turned out to extend much deeper once our team began a full assessment.
Gary and Joe carried out the investigation and repair work, carefully opening up the affected areas to identify the underlying issue. To ensure a long-lasting solution, reinforcement mesh was installed, followed by a scratch coat to strengthen and stabilise the structure before re-plastering. The final stages of plastering and painting are now underway, restoring both the integrity and appearance of the space 🛠️
Working within an occupied retirement home means safety is always a top priority. Our team has taken extra care to keep the workspace clean, organised, and hazard-free throughout the project, helping ensure minimal disruption and maintaining a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors while work is ongoing ✅

Welcome back, everyone.

Our teams have now been back on site for the past three days, gearing up to kick off new projects and bring the remaining ones across the line. It has been great to see the momentum building again.

We would like to wish everyone a successful and positive year ahead, and we’re pleased to confirm that the office is now fully open Monday to Friday.

As we welcome the New Year, we wanted to take a moment to speak directly from the heart.

For those who may not know us personally, we are Kevin and Leanne, founders of KL And Sons Building Services Ltd and KL And Son Building Maintenance Ltd. We operate as a true family business, alongside our two sons Luke and Rikky, our daughters Lauryn and Kaylee, and a team who have become family to us over the years, Liam, Jason, Gary, and Daniel. Each person plays an important role, and together we are incredibly proud of what we continue to build.

We want to personally thank every single person who has recommended us, trusted us with their projects, used our services, left reviews, or simply supported us along the way. Your belief in us has allowed us not only to grow as a business, but to grow as people. Because of your support, we have been able to invest time, care, and opportunity into helping our team build confidence, develop skills, and expand their knowledge year after year.

At the heart of what we do is more than bricks, mortar, and maintenance. It is about listening, understanding, and bringing your visions to life. Whether it is a small repair, ongoing maintenance, or a larger transformation, we are genuinely grateful for every opportunity to help turn ideas into reality and dreams into finished spaces.
