✨ Summer Project Spotlight ✨

Following on from our 5 ⭐ review, Over the course of this summer, our team had the pleasure of transforming a family home into a bright, open-plan kitchen and dining space, complete with a brand new roof terrace and glass balustrade.

This full home improvement project included:
🛠️ Structural wall removals and new steels
🚪 Bi-folds, French doors, and windows
🍽️ Full kitchen installation with island, electrics and plumbing
🪵 Flooring and full decoration throughout
☀️ New flat roofing and terrace with glass balustrade

From start to finish, we worked closely with our clients to make sure every detail came together just as envisioned, keeping things tidy, functional, and stress-free along the way. The end result is a light-filled, modern space perfect for family life and entertaining.

A massive thank you to our brilliant team for their craftsmanship, communication, and good humour throughout, and to our lovely clients for trusting us with their home.

⭐ Another 5-star transformation by KL & Sons Building Services!

Over the course of summer 2025, we had KL & Sons Building Services undertake a turnkey home improvement project to renovate our downstairs to achieve a new open plan kitchen / diner.

The job consisted of the removal of walls, new steels, new external bi-fold door, french door, window, new internal doors, kitchen installation complete with island (including associated electricals and plumbing), flooring down, and finally, decoration of the whole space. The installation of a new flat roofing / roof terrace and a glass balustrade was also part of their scope.

All the guys working for Kevin and Leanne are superb at what they do. They are also polite, courteous and friendly. There was no shortage of a sense of humour, which which was very much appreciated to take the edge off what is unavoidably a stressful process! We are also grateful for their attention to detail and their extra efforts to get the best results. You only get one shot at these things. The whole crew are a credit to Kevin and Leanne.

Although the work by its nature was disruptive, this was kept to a minimum. The team did all they could to keep us with a functioning kitchen sink, dishwasher, and washing machine, even when the space was completely gutted. Our home was also left very tidy at the end of the working day, without fail, throughout the ~3-month project.

Communication was excellent throughout the job, with a WhatsApp group setup to keep us informed and Kevin always available on the end of the phone for a chat.

We are very happy with the finished result. 5 stars! Thank you very much Kevin, Leanne, and team!

A stunning oak summer room completed earlier this year 🍃🏡

We recently completed this beautiful oak summer room for our client, a project that was both exciting and rewarding for the whole team.

The frame was expertly manufactured in green oak to sit on the existing walls, paired with KD joinery-grade oak windows and doors. Our team at K L & Sons Building Services Ltd carried out the full installation, including the slate roof, gutters and the wood burner 🔨✨

A huge thank you to Steve at Easterton Joinery for his precision work and for taking the time to get every measurement spot on to match the original footprint. Teamwork like this makes all the difference.

We’re proud of how smoothly the project came together and even prouder to have received a 5⭐ review from a very happy client.

Preparing for a solid finish 💪🧱

We’ve been busy shuttering up and getting everything ready for a new concrete base, where the porcelain slabs will soon be laid. The prep work is just as important as the final result, and we’re making sure everything is level, secure, and built to last.

Another rescue job underway ✅🏠

We were recently called out to fix a problem roof that had been incorrectly installed by another building company. The battens were spaced far too wide and the slates were fitted improperly, leaving the roof unsafe and vulnerable to damage.

To put things right, we’ve had to completely remove the roof and rebuild it properly. The work is currently in progress, and we’re making sure everything is installed to the correct standards this time 🔨🧰

We can’t wait to show the final results once the job is complete! 🔧✨
