Today I took advantage of the nice weather and conducted a pre winter clean of the shop front, windows, and pathways, and a valet of our first call vehicle.

This afternoon a small family gathering of six gathered around a much loved grandmother on the catafalque. It was intimate, personal and peaceful.

A strong independent lady who lived a long and varied life, reaching 90.

Working as part of the cleaning team for the Wakefield Police Force, she claimed to see the reputed Carr Gate ghost and thought nothing of telling one of the police officers off for swearing.

May she rest in eternal peace.

Thank you to our Funeral Director Richard Fearnley, and his team for conducting the service with integrity, dignity and professionalism. An honour to have been asked to officiate this lovely lady's service.
