We are aware that moving to a care home is a big decision, therefore we are here to help and guide you through every step and make the transition as smooth as possible. We host fortnightly coffee mornings where everyone is welcome to come along and meet us to see and hear about the care and service we provide. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Yesterday was full of autumn fun!
Our residents spent the morning creating beautiful autumn gratitude trees 🍂 before getting their hands stuck into some seasonal sensory trays. In the afternoon, Amy joined us for some lively armchair exercises with plenty of dancing and singing 🎵.
And as the colder months roll in, we finished the day in the cosiest way — making a tasty homemade apple pie together. 🥧 Yum!

The residents spent the afternoon with Creative Mojo working on a Remembrance painting of a warrior horse yesterday, and the end result was absolutely fantastic. Everyone was so chuffed with how it turned out. 🌺

Today we honoured Remembrance Day ❤️

This morning, our residents took part in some lovely arts and crafts, colouring in poppies to mark the occasion. We then joined together for the two-minute silence to remember and reflect on those who bravely fought in the war.

This afternoon was full of fun and nostalgia with Remembrance Day quizzes, wartime picture bingo, and a sing-along to classic war songs. ❤️

Our annual Remembrance Sunday walk 🇬🇧
A special tradition where we come together as a family and community to honour those who served and sacrificed. Always a meaningful walk to our local church service — we will remember them. ❤️🌺

Yesterday morning, our residents got ready for Remembrance Day by making beautiful paper plate poppies and wreaths! ❤️🌺
Later in the afternoon, we shared plenty of laughs with a fun music quiz, followed by a relaxing movie together. 🎵🍿🎬

🎆 Remember, remember the 5th of November! 🎆

This morning, our residents got creative with some fabulous firework-themed arts and crafts, filling the room with colour and sparkle! ✨

In the afternoon, we were joined by the lovely Amy for some energising armchair exercises, followed by a fun and lively Guy Fawkes quiz to test our knowledge! 💥

As evening fell, we wrapped up the day by lighting sparklers and enjoying hot drinks and marshmallows under the night sky — the perfect way to celebrate Bonfire Night! 🎇☕️🔥

🎃 Halloween Fun at Culrose Care Home! 👻

We’ve had such a spooktacular few days celebrating Halloween with our wonderful residents! 🕸️💜

On Wednesday, we started the celebrations with a morning of Halloween-themed arts and crafts, then had Amy join us for some lively armchair exercises. In the afternoon, everyone got creative carving, painting, and decorating pumpkins! 🎃✨

Thursday brought even more fun with our Halloween party — lots of laughter, spooky music, and plenty of treats! 👻🎉

Then on Friday, our residents enjoyed a mix of Halloween activities including colouring, word searches, spot-the-difference, and themed puzzles. We also had our calming Friday morning meditation — with a little Halloween twist! 🧘‍♀️💫

Later in the afternoon, we held another fantastic party filled with party lights, music, singing, dancing, and our very own Halloween “potion” cocktails! 🍹🪩 We rounded things off with some fun games — Pin the Tail on the Witch’s Cat 🐈‍⬛🧙‍♀️, Trick or Treat Goodie Bags, Eyeball Bucket Toss, and of course, Halloween Bingo! 🎃👻

It’s been a wonderful few days full of laughter, creativity, and fun. 🎉🧡🕷️

🌟 What We’ve Been Up To! - part 2 🌟

It’s been a busy and exciting couple of months here! We had a fabulous Elvis Presley Day filled with singing, dancing, and plenty of laughter playing Pin the Blue Suede Shoes on Elvis! 🎶💃🕺

Our Armchair Travels have taken us far and wide — from the bright lights of New York to the tropical rainforests of Borneo! 🌍✈️

We’ve enjoyed lots of baking and decorating — from scones, jam tarts, and cakes to some very creative biscuit designs. There’s been plenty of giggles making slime and playdough, and lots of fun with ring toss and bingo. 🎯🎲

We even went blackberry picking with Jean 🫐 and have loved having Amy join us on Wednesdays for armchair exercises — keeping everyone moving and smiling! 💪😊

As autumn arrived, we got crafty making autumn wreaths, leaf decorations, and autumn tree paintings, and we’re now busy adding some spooky touches with our Halloween decorations! 🎃👻

This morning the residents had their hair done and had a relaxing pamper! 💆🚿💅 later this afternoon we had a chocolate tasting guessing game along with facts and then quizzes, and then reminisced watching old chocolate tv adverts as it’s national chocolate day today! 🍫
