Some action shots from a great and fun strategy meeting this morning, with some of the The Cornermen trustees. Who kindly provide their time and expertise as volunteers.

The meeting was an ideas session, thinking about what we can to do make sure the cornermen financially sustainable now and in the future. So we can keep on helping men in our community.

This afternoon Cornermen Steve and Sam were invited to the amazing international cafe, which meets at he Didcot Baptist church. The lads spoke with the users of the cafe and its volunteers about the Cornermen and what we do.

The conversations we had will hopefully lead to some exciting partnership working in the future. Plus the visit even saw Sam to do some public speaking! (Picture for evidence 💪)

Last week we had, what we think is the most understandable and forgivable reasons ever, by one of the fellas, for being late for his session.

“Sorry, I was watching the Goonies and just lost track of the time” 🏴‍☠️

He was reassured it was completely understandable, and in fact watching the Goonies, in our opinion is excellent for wellbeing so no need to apologise! 😆😆

As the bell goes on the 12th round of 2025 we’d like to say a massive thanks to our supporters, sponsors, funders and donors. This year The Cornermen had over 1500 conversations, provided 1120 hours of support and had 97 new men join the service.

We couldn’t have done it without your backing and encouragement!

So Oxfordshire ToyBank 2025 is a Wrap! Over the last 45 days we have colllected and distributed over 5000 toys and £2,600 of Vouchers to underprivileged children across Oxfordshire through Direct Requests and through Oxfordshire Social Services and the Care and Foster System in the County. Many people have helped, and all are appreciated, but we have to single out Joe Berrecloth (pictured with John) and Nav Gill who went above and beyond in giving their time, delivering over 30 parcels each all over the county! Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, from all at Oxfordshire Toy Bank.

We’d like to give a massive thanks Ridgefield Consulting for some pro bono support and guidance.

This kind of practical support is so appreciated and frees our small team up to concentrate on supporting the men who use us and developing the servce.

It’s our 3rd anniversary! Since November 2022 when we started with only 3 months running costs, it’s been a fantastic journey to get here.
