If you have lost someone to su***de and are aged 18 or over, we invite you to come along to our bereaved by su***de group and find comfort and understanding from others who have similar experiences to you. Anyone who has been bereaved by su***de is welcome, whether it be family, friends, professionals, or acquaintances.
The group begins on the 7th November, 6:30-8pm, and will run for 6 weeks. If you are interested ,or would like more information, please get in touch with us on hello@naishouse.org.uk

This morning we welcomed Didcot Mayor Jim Loder over to Cornermen HQ South Moreton Boxing Club. Jim chose us as one of his charities of the year, alongside the excellent Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse
So it was nice to show Jim around and tell him more about the work we do in the community. Also we couldn’t let him leave without handing him a Cornermen T-shirt, which we hope he wears it at Council meetings! 👊💪

He did it!!
It was a lot harder than he thought but at the 2nd attempt, when first had failed due to altitude sickness Luke did it!

Luke Brandish still battling away climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the cornermen.

Luke is super fit and had to be told to slow down by the guides 🤣 but getting to the summit is proving a bigger challenge than he expected.Here at the cornermen we love Luke for the challenges he’s already come and so proud to see him take on this one. ****Volunteer Opportunity****

Every year South Moreton Boxing Club runs a Toy Bank appeal. The Cornermen assists with this by helping wrap and deliver toys to recipients.

The toy bank, has grown year on year since it was started. Working alongside local social services and schools it makes sure brand new toys are delivered to families that need them at Christmas. With demand rising we now need more help with organising this years appeal.

Didcot Town Council will be holding a Wreath Making event on Tuesday 25th November at 6pm at Didcot Civic Hall.

The event is part of the Mayors fundraising for The Cornermen and Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse .

£25 per person which includes the metal wreath, wire, foliage, a demonstration, guidance and some decorations.

If you would like to decorate your wreath with a certain colour theme or decorations from home then please bring them in and our instructor will help you add them to your piece.

Last week John and Steve went over to Lucy Group Ltd in Oxford. They spoke in the board room to senior members of company and covered amongst other items…

•How anyone can get to a point of Crisis
•What we can do if we are in a point of Crisis
•What we can do if we are worried about someone

They of course also took along the pads and gloves so that the team could have a go at a bit of Boxing themselves.

Lucy’s have been a long term supporter of what we are doing here at the Cornermen, so it is nice we can reciprocate in the relationship by sharing our knowledge with their staff.

If you’d like The Cornermen to visit your staff team for su***de prevention training that is sensitive to the seriousness of the subject, but also good humoured with a chance to do some punching (be surprised how many people suddenly find they love it 👊😆) then feel free to get in touch.
