After four incredible years, we’re sadly saying goodbye to project.

In the last 4 years, the project grew into something truly special — a place where families felt heard, children were cared for with love and compassion, and our team could make a real difference in their lives.

We’ve had the privilege of supporting so many children and parents through challenges, milestones, and everything in between.

The clinic was about community and team work and that’s what I will miss the most.

To every family who walked through our doors: thank you for letting us be part of your journey.

To our team: your dedication, kindness, and expertise made this clinic truly special ☺️

While this chapter is coming to a close, the impact it’s had will stay with me. I am proud of what we built together.

For the past four years, I have been part of this amazing project called The Little Acupuncture Room.

This clinic has offered low-cost and free acupuncture to babies, children, and teenagers across Oxfordshire.

As a not-for-profit community clinic, we’ve supported hundreds of families — many facing real financial hardship — by making high-quality, paediatric acupuncture care accessible to all.

However, we are at risk of closing as we have lost key funding that would have helped us keep going.

💫 A year of professional achievements

Over the year, Fabi Acupuncture welcomed so many new lovely patients, including babies, children and teenagers. The clinic was busier than ever 🙌🏻

I thoroughly enjoyed integrating Functional Medicine into Fabi Acupuncture as I believe it honed my diagnostic abilities and expanded my understanding of patient care 💫

By reflecting on success stories, I believe that my work made a significant positive change in so many lives, and for that, I am very grateful for the trust that so many people placed in me ❤️

Fabi Acupuncture has received so many heart-warming reviews which reminded me of my purpose, especially when I came across some challenging cases✨

, the project that support so many children and their families had another fruitful year guiding children to a healthier and brighter future 💫

🤍 A year of personal loss

This year has brought a profound change with the passing of my mum. It was heart breaking to see her slipping away from the people who loved her. Her absence has left an indelible void in my life and I will be eternally grateful to her for who I am 🤍❤️

Acupuncture training demands considerable commitment and therefore it is very important to choose a practitioner who have gained the qualification in an accredited course that embodies the critical awareness, academic rigour and clinical practice standards.

An interesting article about this silent disease that women over 40 should be aware of and discuss it with their GP’s.

I found out quite early in my menopause journey that I have osteoporosis and getting answers about this condition that is often overlooked by so many doctors has not been easy.

If you are over 50, get your bones checked 🦴

Fifteen months, 11 doctors and over a dozen tests and scans later, I still have no idea how to treat it

Last weekend I completed the second part of the “Art of Shonishin” course with the inspirational Thomas Wernicke.

Thomas once again flew to the U.K from Germany to share with us his knowledge of this gentle, non-invasive method for treating children 🧒🏼 👧🏽👶🏻

I am now a Certified Shonishin Acupuncturist 🎌

Since this certification is recognised by the Japanese Society for Paediatric Acupuncture, the certification ceremony had to be in a Japanese style 🇯🇵☺️

Is Acupuncture safe for babies? 👶🏻

Acupuncture, when performed by a qualified and experienced practitioner who specialises in paediatric acupuncture, is safe and can help babies with different issues, such as:

*Colic and digestive problems
*Sleep disturbance
*Eczema

Acupuncture for babies is a gentle treatment involving very fine needles or no needles at all!

There are many non-needle techniques such as acupressure and massage that can be very effective in babies ☺️

Acupuncture and chronic pain.

⚡️Traditional acupuncture can work for anyone, at any stage of life. Why not talk to a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) about how they can treat you and your whole body, not just your symptoms.

📋BAcC Members are recognised by over 20 different private health providers.

🥼Acupuncture on the NHS is recommended by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) for managing chronic pain, migraines and
headaches. The Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) also recommends acupuncture for chronic pain, including lower back pain and knee pain.

The aim of the British Acupuncture Council is to establish the highest standards of professional practice for the traditional acupuncture profession in the UK.
