**A new way to get in touch**

From Monday 8 September you will be able to consult the surgery using our secure online consultation platform.

A link will appear on the home page of our website, but you will also be able to use the service through your NHS App or Patient Access. This means that through the app you will be able to:

- request a GP appointment
- order repeat prescriptions
- access your health records
- check test results
- request a sick note.

Our online consultation service will be open from 07:30am Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) until we reach capacity. We will respond to requests for GP advice and appointments within 6 hours, but it is important that **if you feel your problem is more urgent you should call us**.

This new way to contact us will run alongside existing routes. If you need a doctor’s appointment you can still call us or ask at Reception from 08:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday.

Nurse appointments are still booked by calling us, and you can ring from 10am to 2pm to ask about test results.

This new service will take the place of eConsult which comes to an end on Wednesday 3 September.

FLU AND COVID VACCINATIONS

Look out for your flu and covid vaccination booking invitation this week.

Eligible patients will receive an invitation either by text, in the NHS app, or we will call you. If you're over 75 you will also be offered a Covid vaccination, to be given at the same time.

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR A FLU VACCINATION?

This year, you will be offered a flu vaccination on the NHS if you're over 65, pregnant, immunosuppressed, or if you're 18 - 64 and we're treating you for a long-term condition such as asthma, COPD, or diabetes. These seasonal vaccinations are available on the NHS for most eligible patients from October, earlier for pregnant women and children (we'll be in touch). You can check if you are eligible at https://www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/flu-vaccine/.

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR A COVID VACCINATION?

Covid vaccinations are offered on the NHS to people over 75, and for those who are immunosuppressed. It is not available on the NHS from either a GP or from pharmacies for those under 75 with other long term conditions. You can read more about eligibility for a Covid vaccination at https://www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/covid-19-vaccine/ or by contacting us.

If you're eligible for both you will be given them at the same time.

If you are housebound, we will be in touch to arrange a home visit.

Keep an eye on our website and page for booking updates.
