Are you looking to get your Green CSCS Labourer’s Card?

The Green CSCS Labourer’s Card is valid for two years on first application. It is designed for labourers and others in basic construction roles who do not require advanced qualifications. The card demonstrates that the holder understands the essential health and safety practices needed to work safely on site.

CITB’s Health & Safety Awareness (HSA) course is an accepted qualification by CSCS for applying for the Green CSCS Labourer’s Card.

This one-day course highlights potential hazards on site and provides practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. It also covers both individual and employer responsibilities, including what to do if you believe someone’s health or safety is at risk.

At ACT – Avery Cameron Training, we run regular HSA courses at our Dingwall Training Centre and across the Highlands & Islands.

You don’t need to wait until your SWQR card expires to book your Street Works Refresher course, you can take the training up to a year before the expiry date.

Booking your Street Works Refresher training early means you can plan ahead and won’t be caught out. These winter months are usually the quietest, making it the ideal time to complete your safety training in preparation for the busy period.

At ACT – Avery Cameron Training, we run regular Street Works Refresher courses at our Dingwall Training Centre.

And that’s a wrap!

Here are some photos from our final training course of 2025! Yesterday, we completed IPAF 3a & 3b construction training with Capstone Construction Ltd, as well as Fire Extinguisher Training for Orbis Services.

It feels like longer, but it’s only been just over a year since we opened our new Dingwall Training Centre. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last few years.

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We’ll see you all in 2026!

1 in 10 people in Scotland are dyslexic (Dyslexia Scotland), and our instructors have found that a number of our delegates experience specific challenges associated with dyslexia, such as difficulty reading, writing, and/or spelling.

There are many strengths to dyslexia (good problem-solving, strong visual thinking skills, and good verbal skills), but certain difficulties make learning in a training environment a bit more challenging.

We’re working with Dyslexia Scotland to help those with dyslexia access reasonable adjustments. This ensures that all eligible delegates have open access to their assesment without compromising the assesment’s integrity.

If you have dyslexia, we’re here to help and support you through your training. It shouldn’t have to be a barrier between you and learning; it just means you may need some reasonable adjustments.

For further information on these reasonable adjustments, get in touch:
