And that’s a wrap!

Here are some photos from our final training course of 2025! Yesterday, we completed IPAF 3a & 3b construction training with Capstone Construction Ltd, as well as Fire Extinguisher Training for Orbis Services.

It feels like longer, but it’s only been just over a year since we opened our new Dingwall Training Centre. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last few years.

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We’ll see you all in 2026!

1 in 10 people in Scotland are dyslexic (Dyslexia Scotland), and our instructors have found that a number of our delegates experience specific challenges associated with dyslexia, such as difficulty reading, writing, and/or spelling.

There are many strengths to dyslexia (good problem-solving, strong visual thinking skills, and good verbal skills), but certain difficulties make learning in a training environment a bit more challenging.

We’re working with Dyslexia Scotland to help those with dyslexia access reasonable adjustments. This ensures that all eligible delegates have open access to their assesment without compromising the assesment’s integrity.

If you have dyslexia, we’re here to help and support you through your training. It shouldn’t have to be a barrier between you and learning; it just means you may need some reasonable adjustments.

For further information on these reasonable adjustments, get in touch:

PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) is the process of examining electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use. It includes both visual and electrical inspections.

Anyone carrying out PAT testing must be competent and properly trained. In low-risk environments, a knowledgeable staff member can often perform visual inspections after basic training.

Many businesses nominate an employee for PAT training, as no formal electrical qualifications are required. After completing a course and passing the assessment, you can become a certified PAT tester.

PAT training covers workplace electrical safety, the principles of testing, how to perform visual and device-based checks, and the legal and theoretical aspects of PAT testing.

Looking for PAT training? Here are our upcoming dates:

- 17th December 2025 (now 10% off)
- 8th January 2026

Are you ready to become a site supervisor?

The CITB Site Supervision Training Scheme (SSSTS) is a two-day accredited CITB Site Safety Plus course covering various health, safety, and environmental issues that supervisors should be aware of in their roles.

Completing the SSSTS course will provide you with a 5-year CITB Site Safety Plus certificate. After five years, you will need to complete the SSSTS Refresher course to maintain the qualification.

Completing the SSSTS course and earning your Site Safety Plus certification opens up a career in site supervision, which can lead to site management.
