Save the Date – Carers Scotland Highland Roadshow

Are you supporting for someone in the Highland Council area? A family member, friend, neighbour, or someone in your community — who could not manage without your support? Do you take them to appointments, take them shopping, handle their medications? You might not think of yourself as a carer, but if someone relies on your support to get through the day, you may be an unpaid carer.

You’re not alone — and there is support available.

Join us at the Carers Scotland Highland Roadshow for practical support, speak to local services. Get help to access funding and referrals — all in one place.

North Highland Community Transport may also be able to support with free transport to get you get to the event if you live in the Highland Council area.

So many people have benefitted from attending our ESCAPE - pain classes since they were introduced, if you know anyone who may also like to try this please let them know the next block starts in April and there are afternoon and evening sessions available.

We are recruiting a Living Better Group Coordinator Inverness & Nairn. The purpose of the role is to provide direct support to individuals who live with a long-term condition to access peer support, information and training around the use and practice of self-management techniques

Our first 2026 winter evening online talk is scheduled for next week on Thursday 15th Jan at 7pm - a Hugh Miller Fossils Talk from the National Trust for Scotland. It looks like this will be a popular session but there are plenty of tickets so don't hesitate and book now!
