Recently at Bowerfield House, we celebrated our lovely Graham's birthday. A special cake was baked just for him and he enjoyed sharing the moment with everyone.

The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and good cheer, and Graham was truly happy celebrating his special day with us all.

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating the birthday of Little Pat, one of those living with us, and it was truly a joyful occasion.

A Lovely birthday cake was baked especially for Pat, and she happily celebrated her special day surrounded by everyone. The conservatory was beautifully decorated by our lifestyle Assistant, Kachi, creating a lovely setting for Pat and her husband, Barry, to enjoy a birthday lunch together, giving them a sweet little date to share.

After lunch, staff and those living with us came together to sing Happy Birthday to Pat, filling the room with warmth and smiles. Pat was deeply touched by the celebration. She kindly prayed for the staff and thanked everyone for the love shown to her. Her happiness grew even more when her birthday card from her brother was read to her aloud, making the moment extra special.

It was a heart-warming day filled with love, laughter, and togetherness.

Our lounge downstairs at Bowerfield House was filled with excitement, laughter, and friendly competition as we enjoyed a wonderful bowling session together. Staff paired up with those living with us, making it a lovely team activity that encouraged connection, support, and plenty of smiles. Everyone took turns rolling the ball, cheering each other on, and enjoying the fun atmosphere.

Graham especially impressed us with his bowling skills; he was very confident and did amazingly well throwing the ball. Shirley had a great time and was well supported by our lifestyle Assistant, Kachi, who ensured she felt comfortable, encouraged, and included throughout the session.

Moments like this remind us how beautiful shared activities can be, bringing joy, confidence, and togetherness to our home. It was truly a fun-filled session enjoyed by everyone involved.

Christmas Day Celebrations at Bowerfield House!

Christmas Day at Bowerfield House was a truly heart-warming and joyful occasion, filled with festive cheer, togetherness, and special moments shared with loved ones.

The home looked beautiful and welcoming, with the dining area carefully prepared for the day and creating a lovely Christmas atmosphere. Those living with us enjoyed singing familiar Christmas songs, which filled the home with laughter, smiles, and festive spirit.

There was great excitement as residents opened their Christmas presents, taking time to enjoy and appreciate their gifts. It was wonderful to see the happiness and delight on everyone’s faces during these special moments.

Throughout the day, the home was filled with families coming in to spend Christmas with their loved ones. The presence of husbands, wives, children, grandchildren, and relatives brought warmth and a lively buzz to the home, making the celebration even more meaningful.

Those living with us also enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner, which was served in the dining area and shared together, making it a truly special part of the day.

Christmas Day Birthday Celebration for Heather

Christmas Day at Bowerfield House was made even more special as we celebrated Heather’s birthday on the 25th of December. The conservatory was beautifully prepared for the occasion, with Lifestyle Assistant Kachi helping to set up festive decorations to create a warm and joyful space for Heather and her loved ones.

Heather was joined by her husband, children, grandchildren, and other family members, who came together to celebrate this special day with her. The family kindly brought a birthday cake to share, and a cheerful birthday song was sung as a candle was placed on the cake. A family member helped to blow out the candle, filling the room with laughter and smiles.

There were plenty of thoughtful birthday cards and gifts, making Heather feel truly loved and celebrated. Lifestyle Assistant Kachi also took special photographs for the family to capture these precious moments.

It was a day filled with happiness, togetherness, and festive cheer, made even more joyful as Heather’s birthday fell on Christmas Day. Everyone had a wonderful time celebrating, and it was truly a heart-warming occasion.

A Lovely Morning Out in Stockport Mersey Way

Those living with us enjoyed a delightful outing to Stockport Mersey way as Carol H and Carol M headed out at 10am on the Myley minibus for some relaxed window shopping.

After spending time strolling around the shops and enjoying the lively atmosphere of the mall, Carol H and Carol M took a well-deserved break at a local coffeehouse. They enjoyed warming latte coffees, and Carol H treated herself to a delicious slice of lemon drizzle cake.

The outing was made comfortable and enjoyable with support from Lifestyle Assistant Kachi and Cook Patience, who assisted by pushing wheelchairs around the mall and capturing some lovely photographs along the way to remember the day.

It was a wonderful morning filled with smiles, fresh air, and meaningful moments. Outings like these help create cherished memories for those living with us and reflect our commitment to supporting independence, choice, and enjoyment.

At Bowerfield House, the festive season is all about connection, memories, and sharing joy with loved ones. Recently, those living with us came together around a table that had been prepared for a very special activity creating personalised Christmas cards for their families.

Lifestyle Assistant Kachi carefully printed photos of everyone taking part and lovingly cut them to size so they could be placed inside the cards. Each card featured a personal photograph, making everyone unique and meaningful.

Those living with us then wrote their own messages inside the cards, adding heartfelt words to accompany their pictures. The completed cards were later given to families as a Christmas surprise.

The response from families was truly heart-warming. They absolutely loved receiving the cards and expressed how special it was to have something so personal and made with love by their relatives.

Moments like these remind us that it’s the little things time spent together, creativity, and thoughtfulness that make Christmas at Bowerfield House so special.

Baking Club Fun at Bowerfield House!

We recently had a lovely Baking Club session at Bowerfield House, and it was a great time filled with teamwork, laughter, and the sweet smell of chocolate cake!

Those living with us gathered to bake a delicious chocolate cake. Barry, Pat, and Carol got hands-on by breaking the eggs into the bowl, stirring the mixture, and adding the other ingredients. Everyone was fully involved and enjoyed taking part at their own pace.

Lifestyle Assistant Kachi was on hand throughout the activity, supporting and helping whenever needed. Yvonne helped by lining the baking paper in the baking bowl, and soon everyone joined in stirring the ingredients together, making it a real group effort.

The excitement built as we waited for it to bake, and it was well worth it! When the chocolate cake was ready, everyone enjoyed a slice, and it was clear from the smiles all around that it was a big hit.

Activities like our Baking Club help bring people together, encourage participation, and create happy moments and of course, enjoying the finished cake together made it extra special!

Bowerfield House was truly alive with the magic of Christmas as we hosted our Family Christmas Party with MMCG, and what a wonderful afternoon it was!

The lounge downstairs was transformed into a festive wonderland, with stunning Christmas decorations set up by Lifestyle Assistant Kachi. From twinkling lights and colourful bunting to festive displays, the room was warm, welcoming, and full of Christmas spirit.

The event officially kicked off at 2:00pm, and right on time, families and relatives began arriving, filling the lounge with smiles, laughter, and happy reunions. At exactly 2pm, everyone gathered to watch a special Christmas message from the MMCG executives, wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas. It was a lovely moment that brought everyone together and set the tone for the celebration.

Following the video, excitement filled the room as we moved on to the raffle draw. The winning number was 347, and congratulations to Jenny, who won the raffle prize! Her family celebrated with her, making it a joyful and memorable moment for everyone present.

Guests were then invited to enjoy a fantastic spread of food and cold drinks, beautifully laid out, and enjoyed by all. From sweet treats to savoury bites, there was something for everyone, and it was wonderful to see families relaxing, chatting, and sharing the festive atmosphere together.

Overall, the Family Christmas Party was a huge success, filled with plenty of Christmas cheer. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day so special.

Last week, Bowerfield Court and House joined in together for their weekly More fresh air session and visited Norbury's Farm in Poynton.

Bev, Pat, and Barry were accompanied by Genesi and Kachi, all had a delightful time trying a variety of cakes such as banana pudding, Bakewell tart, mince pies, hot chocolates, and coffees.

We would like to thank the amazing staff at the coffee shop who helped assisting our people with doors and comfortable tables, we will definitely be visiting again!

🎄 Christmas Jumper Day at Bowerfield House! 🎄

What a joyful day we had celebrating Christmas Jumper Day at Bowerfield House! Our residents and team came together in their brightest, cosiest festive jumpers and the smiles say it all.

We kicked off the day with plenty of laughter as everyone posed for photos in front of our beautiful Christmas backdrop. The room was filled with singing as we enjoyed our favourite Christmas songs together from classics to fun sing-alongs that had everyone joining in.

After the photos and music, we settled down comfortably to watch some Christmas movies, creating the perfect warm and festive atmosphere. With a lovely selection of hot and cold drinks, it was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the afternoon.

A big thank you to everyone for making the day so special. Moments like these truly warm the heart.

Christmas Cheers Fills the First Floor Lounge at Bowerfield House!

What a magical and joy-filled afternoon we had in our first-floor lounge! Our wonderful visiting singer treated everyone to a lively performance of Christmas classics, filling the room with warmth, music, and festive spirit.

Those Living with us were all smiles as they sang along, tapped their feet, and joined in the merriment. The atmosphere was nothing short of heartwarming.

A big shout-out to our amazing Lifestyle Assistant, Kachi, who helped make the event extra cheerful.

She danced around the lounge, encouraging everyone to join the fun and the residents absolutely loved it!

To make the celebration even more interactive, the singer handed out musical instruments to residents, staff, and visitors. Bells jingled, shakers shook, and together we created our very own Bowerfield House Christmas band.

The lounge was filled with laughter, music, and togetherness, exactly the kind of festive spirit we love to see. Everyone left feeling uplifted and delighted.

Thank you to our performer, our team and of course the wonderful people living with us for making the day truly special.
