Owing to the busy nature of the practice, we are expanding our admin team!
We are a busy, welcoming practice looking for a Medical Administrator to join our fantastic team. If you like working with people and want to make a real difference every day, we would love to hear from you.
Position: Medical Administrator
Hours: 21 hours/week over 3 days (Mon-Fri, between 7.45AM – 6:15PM)
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
▪️Dealing with patients and healthcare professionals both face to face and over the telephone
▪️Responding to general enquiries
▪️Managing a range of clinic appointments
▪️Electronic filing, document management and workflow
▪️Processing prescription requests
▪️Processing new patient registrations
▪️Accurately updating patient records as appropriate
What we’re looking for:
✔️Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔️Basic IT skills (Windows, Word, Excel, email)
✔️Attention to detail & great organisational skills
✔️Friendly and calm under pressure
✔️Flexible team player available to help cover holiday and sick leave
✔️Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
Previous experience in healthcare or customer service is a bonus!

⚠️ SCAM ALERT – Fake GP Practice Calls ⚠️

We’ve been made aware of a telephone scam targeting patients in the Forth Valley area.

📞 Some patients have received calls from 07759 705398 (showing a location in Spain) claiming to be from their GP Practice.
The caller says they are “updating patient records” and then tries to send a link.

✅ Please remember:

Do not share personal details or click any links if you’re unsure who’s calling.

Genuine GP Practices will never ask for this information over the phone.

If you’re concerned, hang up and call your GP Practice directly using their official number.

You can also report suspicious calls to Police Scotland (101) or NHS Forth Valley.

Stay alert and help spread the word to friends, family, and neighbours! 💬

❗❗Patient Notice - Triage Closed – Tuesday 28th October❗❗

The practice is currently experiencing unmanageable demand for urgent care. Triage is therefore closed.
Taking account of our practice team's safety and the availability of other options for patient care, we are not able to accept any more requests for on the day/emergency appointments today.
We are sorry for this inconvenience which is beyond our control.
We are following the BMA Safe Working Guidance.
If you have an urgent medical problem that you believe cannot wait then you should seek help from other NHS agencies including NHS 24 on 111 AFTER 6pm, or through Accident and Emergency if you feel needs assessment sooner.
We are still open for routine enquiries.
