Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have something similar to this in Ards and North Down? Ards and North Down Borough Council
Walking for peace, for healing and hope. As health care professionals we are passionate about: 💚
Inclusive green space with purpose because it can positively impact public health.

Toddler groups, Councillors, public servants, business owners, students, retirees, tourists, teenagers, the weary, the sick, the ashamed. All facing different challenges and carrying heavy burdens.
The labyrinth acts as a container to, just for a short while let go of heavy things and simply be.
With so much upheaval, pain and unrest globally and locally it’s time to try a different approach.

Loving gratitude to my sister Marg, brother John, Roxanne, Cara, Finn, Ryland, Julie and Kerry for their help in the spring clean up of our sanctuary - more to be done before we open but a great start - we so appreciate it!

Hospital appointments or visiting loved ones can be stressful and tiring. If you’re attending the RVH take the first set of lifts to the 7th floor and walk this incredible labyrinth. It’s really uplifting and energising. The playful walk gets you out of your head which can help you get ready for appointments or visits.
Alternatively, after a visit you might want to take a walk on the labyrinth to help calm your mind before returning to the rest of your day.
Perhaps you’re a worker in the RVH? A little walk on the labyrinth could be a good way to take a moment of calm in your day.

Absolutely love this innovative project created by one of my friends in the Veriditas 2025 labyrinth facilitator programme.
In NI we need to equip our frontline students with skills to handle the vicarious trauma they will undoubtedly experience in their careers. Having a healthy workforce in health and social care and emergency services is crucial.
Well done James for this initiative!
At TLC we have worked on similar projects and are always keen to support organisations use labyrinth walking to help workers flourish.

Yesterday we created a Mother’s Day scarf labyrinth with the sweetest people in one of the most iconic places in NI.
Personally and professionally, I still can’t believe it. Having walked a painful path in 2023, I am overflowing with gratitude for this opportunity.
I can’t quite put into words how deeply grateful I am for the experience. To be with Julia Graham Kels Bels Grace Coutts Harry Harvey MLA Peter Martin MLA lovely Midwife Jacqueline from South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust and all the women was something I will never forget.
❤️
What was so special was all your donated scarves tenderly holding the whole event together. Too many people to tag, but you know who you are. You blessed us beyond all measure. Thank you 🙏
And every member of the Security and Events team, I have never experienced such exemplary service, kindness and care.
❤️
Sometimes newsfeeds are full of division and fear and it can leave you feeling unsettled and disillusioned. Take heart. ♥️

What I experienced yesterday was pure tenderness, compassion, courage and love.
These women whose hearts break every moment for their babies and grand babies walked together on the labyrinth path.
💫
There was gentleness, kindness, patience and so much love. For babies, for each other, for life in all its glory and mess.
This world is so messy but when you slow down all you can see is love.
Sending you all love today on Mother’s Day.

✨ Walk the Scarf Labyrinth ✨

Only a few tickets remain for this beautiful, reflective experience. The Scarf Labyrinth is more than an event — it’s a gentle invitation to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself as you walk the winding path.

Each step creates space for reflection, healing, and intention. The scarves form a temporary labyrinth that will only be available for this gathering — and the final tickets are now being released.

If you’ve been thinking about coming, this is your moment.

🌀Do you ever have one of those days when things maybe don’t quite go as expected and yet you find yourself in the place that feels “just right”?
Yesterday was one of those days for me. I had some space open up in my schedule, so I decided to draw a labyrinth in the sand. Just as I was finishing up, I was pulled away by the cuteness overload of two little friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniels 🐶. The conversation with the owners led to an explanation of the labyrinth and an invitation to walk around it. It felt like such an honour to engage in a sweet conversation as two of us meandered around the sacred path. And my heart was warmed by the gratitude and comment from the lady that she was “meant to be there” for that experience.
I then sent a message to a friend who lives close by to let him know the labyrinth was there, and the timing worked out perfectly for him to also avail of the circles in the sand before they were washed away by the incoming tide. He, too, offered gratitude for the opportunity to take some time out and turn in towards his own heart.
🌀May you find peace on your path today, even if leads you in an unplanned direction. May you be open to whatever unfolds, and make space for compassion and curiosity towards the tender spots inside. 🙏❤️
