Dear exhausted women,

It is said that in shamanic communities if you come to the medicine person seeking help for being chronically ill, disheartened, depressed or dispirited, they will ask you four questions:

When did you stop dancing?
When did you stop singing?
When did you stop being enchanted by stories?
When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence?

Here at The Wellbeing Club, we are creating a space for women to gather and return to the ancient wisdom of these fundamental practices for well-being. This gathering is an opportunity to take time out to tend to your inner world and ground after what can be an exhausting festive season.
It is a space to let go of the demands that drain and reconnect with your vitality and purpose. You will be treated to a nutritious brunch and feel right at home as together we build a community of supportive, fun-loving, compassionate women to journey alongside back to the best and highest version of ourselves. Expect a hopping playlist and the most beautiful of settings to nourish your soul.

You are welcome to come on your own, just as you are and with absolutely no experience at anything!

Yoga is a beautiful way to tend to the physical body - build strength, flexibility and cultivate balance, coordination, release tension, tend to aches and pains, lower blood pressure and improve posture. All of that. And SO MUCH MORE.

Yoga also provides an opportunity to tend to your mental and emotional wellbeing. Yoga can be a doorway to decluttering the mind, finding perspective and clarity, returning to a place of ease and calm and becoming β€˜unstuck.’ Yoga offers us the tools to process and work with our emotions, allowing them to shift, rather than suppressing or denying them.

If you would like a practice that tends to your physical, mental/emotional wellbeing and that is good for your soul, you would be so welcome to come along and be introduced to the wonders of yoga. I would love to meet you too and support you on this journey. Both classes are followed by an optional cuppa and chance to chat and connect.

No experience necessary. These classes are for every woman. The whole session can be done from the chair, or include standing postures.

The Wellbeing Club with Cara and Susie will meet on Saturday 3rd Jan 10am-12.30 to celebrate Nollaig na mBan or β€˜Women’s Christmas’ on Donaghadee’s glorious Flavour First Farm. This is a date cherished in the Irish calendar when women traditionally gather, celebrate and take rest together after a busy festive season. We would love to start the New Year with you in this way - becoming present and intentional, singing and dancing towards hope, joy, purpose, perspective and momentum in 2026. We are approaching a frantic time of year and for that reason I am hosting a 5-week Root to Rise Wellbeing Course to help you winter well! We will meet at the beautiful Flavour First Farm on Friday mornings, embraced by the slow rhythm of the winter season, which will provide its own nourishment and antidote for stressed out nervous systems. ✨

This is an opportunity to join together with like-minded women to engage in body-mind-soul practices to help ground you throughout the festive season and cultivate achievable daily practices to help you embody your most vital Self. This is intended to give you time - not take it -by creating a space for clarity, purpose and vitality to emerge.

Each morning is designed to be a complete reset with a nourishing (all-ability) yoga practice, breathing and meditation practices, guided journaling and a nutritious brunch included. No experience at anything necessary - no mat work - only seated and standing postures! Christmas can be wonderful. ✨ It can also be complicated - daunting, overwhelming, exhausting, lonely - for many messy human reasons. That's why, I've decided to run a 5 week Wellbeing Course - introducing yoga, meditation and other wellbeing practices to help carry you (and me!) into the festive season with a greater sense of ease, vitality and, dare I say, peace and joy - that's what it's meant to be about, right?!

This is an all-ability course open to women of all abilities, ages and stages. We will gather as a group of open-hearted, supportive women to ENJOY an all-ability yoga practice, nervous system regulation practices and guided journaling activities. It's a busy time of year, I know, but this class will GIVE YOU TIME as you bring a greater sense of ease and clarity into your days.

FAQs

*What is the Wellbeing Club?

A gathering of women to support and encourage each other on a journey of growth and transformation to embody the most vibrant version of yourself. We will reconnect with our authentic self, and others, through movement, song, contemplation, connection and a cuppa.

*I have never done anything like this before. Will I feel out of place?

This is a gathering of women of all ages, all body types, all walks of life. Each bringing their own gifts and challenges. Each seeking authentic connection and a life of vitality and growth. This is a non-judgemental, warm, welcoming space. You will be so welcome here - warts and nerves included - we all have them. πŸ˜‚

*Do I have to be flexible, confident or be a good dancer?

Absolutely not. You just have to be willing to move. I know this can sound scary but there is magic and medicine in movement. And it is innate to all of us. We were born to move - our ancestors all moved together and science shows it has great health benefits - for body, mind and soul. You do not need to have practiced yoga or danced before or consider yourself β€˜fit.’ There is no mat work involved.

*Do I need to consider myself a good singer?

Absolutely not. We will sing together in group and be amazed how good we sound - together.

*Will I be forced to share?

Absolutely not. There will be group discussions and if you'd like to contribute, you can. All voices will be respected and valued. However, this is a time for self-reflection and exploration. You will not be asked to share anything you don't want to.

*What do I wear?

We will meet in both the Hoop House and Orchard. Think comfortable clothes and layers. If the weather is fine, we will bring our movement practice to the Orchard which may be damp underfoot so waterproof shoes/boots advised (or you can go barefoot/sandals if you'd prefer - there'll be a towel handy.) If it rains, we’ll practice in the beautiful Hoop House. Just think comfort.

*What else do I need to bring?
A favourite journal, if you have one. If not, we’ll provide. Water.
We have a selection of herbal teas and snacks. If you'd like to bring anything else along for yourself, or for the group, you're welcome to do that.
An open-heart and curious mind.

*Is this religious?

No. But that does not mean you need leave your religion/spirituality at the door, or that it is not welcome. Our ancestors evolved reflecting, sharing, dancing, singing - all good-for-the soul stuff. We want to reconnect with this age-old medicine.

*Where do I park?

Drive past the vending machine at Flavour First Farm and park down the lane, by the pumpkin patch and orchard.

*Payment?

Β£20. Each session will feel like a mini retreat and be wonderful value for money. However, do reach out for payment options if need be. Every woman welcome ###

*Who are we?

Cara - Yoga teacher, kinesiologist, primary teacher, nervous system nerd, women's group facilitator, mum of 3.
Susie - midwife, lifestyle medicine student, reflexologist, musician, mum of 3.
