Coach Lisa client update 💙💙💙

Alex has been attending stride for over a year now, and during this time she has shown remarkable personal growth, particularly in her confidence which has continued to develop and strengthen. She actively participates in a variety of social groups, where she has built positive relationships and formed meaningful friendships with others.
In addition to her social development Alex is working closely and effectively with her coach Lisa, focusing on the goal of securing employment. Based on her dedication, attitude and on going development, I am confident that Alex has a strong potential to achieve her goal of gaining employment in the future.

Coach Terri client update 💙💙💙

Today marked HB’s final independence coaching session with Terri after six months of support, focusing on developing key life skills with the goal of gaining employment.
There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way.
Over this time, HB has grown massively in confidence and built strong, meaningful relationships with both staff and clients at Stride. From enthusiasm at football sessions to recently getting involved in Stride socials, HB’s cheeky personality has truly come to life — and those cheesy dad jokes will definitely be missed!
We’re incredibly proud to share that HB has successfully secured a role at Club Impact Gym, where they are already thriving. HB is embracing new challenges with a smile and a consistently positive attitude.
Well done, HB – a huge achievement and one to be proud of.
This isn’t goodbye, as HB will continue to be supported by Stride in the workplace, but it’s a significant milestone worth celebrating.

How to manage your money – a Stride guide

These are just a few things you can consider when working on improving how you manage your money. While budgeting and keeping track of finances can be challenging for many people, neurodivergent adults and people experiencing mental health challenges can often find it even more difficult. This can include people with ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia, Tourette’s, anxiety, depression, and those balancing busy or demanding work routines.

Managing money can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when bills, everyday spending, and unexpected costs all compete for attention. This can lead to financial stress, difficulty planning ahead, and feelings of anxiety around spending or saving.

Over time, financial pressure can impact overall wellbeing, concentration at work, and confidence when making decisions about money. When money feels difficult to manage, even small financial tasks can start to feel more overwhelming.

Small changes to budgeting habits, spending awareness, and financial organisation can sometimes help make managing money feel more structured and less stressful.

Last Wombles, we welcomed Seven Studios once again, who joined us to film additional content for our ongoing projects. It was a highly productive session, and we’re excited to see how the new material will support our upcoming campaigns and communications.

We were also pleased to have Go Green Limited attend and get involved throughout the day. Their presence added real value, and it was great to collaborate with a team that shares our commitment to sustainability and making a positive impact within the community.

Overall, it was a successful and engaging day.

This week marks Neurodiversity Awareness Week 💙

It’s an important opportunity to recognise, understand, and celebrate the natural diversity of the human brain. Neurodiversity encompasses a wide range of neurological differences, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and more — each bringing unique strengths, perspectives, and ways of thinking.

At its core, neurodiversity challenges the idea that there is a single “normal” way to think or learn. Instead, it encourages us to value differences and create environments where individuals feel respected, supported, and able to thrive.

Raising awareness is only the first step. Meaningful inclusion comes from taking action — whether that’s adapting environments, improving accessibility, providing the right support, or simply taking the time to listen and understand individual experiences. Small changes can have a significant impact.

By fostering a more inclusive and accepting society, we not only support neurodivergent individuals but also benefit from the innovation, creativity, and diverse perspectives they bring.

Let’s use this week to reflect, learn, and commit to building spaces where everyone has the opportunity to succeed — not just during Neurodiversity Awareness Week, but every day.

How to manage your sleep – a Stride guide

These are just a few things you can consider when working on improving your sleep. While getting consistent, good-quality sleep can be difficult for many people, neurodivergent adults and people experiencing mental health challenges can often find it even more challenging. This can include people with ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia, Tourette’s, anxiety, depression, and those managing busy or demanding work routines.

Poor sleep can lead to fatigue, difficulty concentrating, low mood, and increased stress. Over time, it can also affect productivity at work, memory, motivation, and overall wellbeing. When sleep is disrupted, it can make everyday tasks feel more overwhelming and harder to manage.

Small changes to routines, sleep environments, and daily habits can sometimes help improve sleep patterns and make rest feel more consistent and restorative.

Still finding it difficult to manage your sleep? We are here to help.

Huge thanks to Ambispace for working with us to make Luke’s dreams come true.

We love nothing more at Stride than witnessing neuroinclusion in action, so to see Luke thrive like this, in an environment that truly values him, there are no words other than wow.

We are so grateful for our partners 💙

For just over four months, Luke has been a valued intern with and Ambifibre team, and his impact is already clear. Luke came to us through .yorkshire , who help neurodivergent young adults gain life skills and employment. Recently, Luke proposed an innovative idea to use textured tubing to enhance how light interacts within a sensory lighting tube, giving it a more accurate and vibrant display of the projected colours.

Working alongside Jenny, they constructed a custom lighting tube by hand to test his concept idea. Luke was absolutely right; the textured tubing delivers noticeably improved colour accuracy and visual clarity.

This kind of curiosity, creativity, and hands‑on problem‑solving is exactly what strengthens our workplace and pushes our sensory products forward.

“Luke is really enthusiastic and ambitious in creating new things to help the company and team” Jenny Alexander (Ambispace Production Manager)

Well done, Luke and thank you for being such an asset to the AmbiSpace and AmbiFibre team.

Becky Coach:
"The craft club was a wonderful reminder of how powerful creativity and community can be. The joy of watching a neurodivergent artist fully immersed in painting, laughing, teaching us about the endangered Kakapo, and enjoying the company of others was truly inspiring.

Craft club isn’t just about making beautiful art (though this painting created by MB is absolutely amazing! 🖌️🌈) — it’s also about building social confidence, expressing individuality, and connecting with others in a supportive and welcoming space."

Here’s to more colour, more creativity, and more shared smiles at craft club!
