✂️ Pattern Drafting ✂️

Our Pattern Drafting Workshops have been in full swing, and it’s safe to say this is not one of the easy ones 😊

Drafting your own clothing patterns involves measuring, maths, drawing, and a lot of concentration. It takes patience, dedication, and a willingness to learn something completely new. But that’s exactly what makes the experience so rewarding.

Watching participants start with a blank sheet of paper and slowly turn it into a fully drafted clothing pattern made from their own measurements is amazing to see. It’s a real skill that takes time to master, but once you understand it, it opens the door to creating garments that truly fit you.

Everyone who has taken part so far has shown real determination and focus, and the progress has been fantastic. The journey might not be the easiest, but the skills and confidence gained are priceless.

Our second Sew Mindful Crafts podcast, and this time we’ve added video too!

We’re still experimenting with recording our sessions and learning the best places to position the cameras, so please bear with us while we improve things over the next few episodes.

Wow, it’s been a busy week so far 😳

We’re still very new to this, but we’re really enjoying creating something that helps share what’s happening in the community, the work we do at Sew Mindful Crafts, and giving people a chance to have their voice heard.

✨ What a Busy Day at Sew Mindful Crafts! ✨

Today has been non-stop and we just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who continues to support us 💛

We’re absolutely delighted that all released dates for this month’s Tuesday Time Out workshops are now fully booked! 🧵🪡

The demand for these mindful, creative sessions really shows how important it is to have safe, welcoming spaces where people can switch off and just be creative.

If you missed out this time, don’t worry we’ll be releasing more dates over the next couple of weeks, along with new workshops on Thursdays and Fridays, so keep an eye on our page 👀

…and we’re so proud to say we won 1st place! 🏆

This award means so much because it reflects the people behind Sew Mindful Crafts, our amazing volunteers, tutors, supporters, and every single person who walks through our doors. You are the reason we do what we do 💙

From creative workshops and wellbeing sessions to our men’s group, community projects, and digital opportunities, this award belongs to all of you.

Great evening at our Men’s Group last night 🙌

Some of the lads sat together chatting, while others picked up the guitars and enjoyed a bit of music , exactly what the space is all about.

We had 14 attend, and to top it off, 9 of us headed out for a curry afterwards 🍛
It turned into a long shift, but honestly worth every minute.
