Whilst trick or treating is lots of fun for children and willing hosts, don’t forget to stay safe.

Wear reflective costumes and carry flashlights to be seen by drivers, and trick-or-treat in groups with a trusted adult.

Remember, costumes often fall into the category of toys rather than clothing. As such they do not meet the same fire safety standards as regular clothing and can burn much faster

Between October and March we don’t make enough vitamin D from sunlight. To look keep bones and muscles healthy, it’s best to take a daily 10 microgram supplement of vitamin D.

You can get vitamin D from most pharmacies and retailers

Low vitamin D levels are also associated with an increased risk of low mood and depression, though the exact relationship is still being researched
