Urgent, emergency and unplanned care services, including A&E, the UTC and the Same Day Health Centre, are busier than expected for this time of year.

By using 111 or pharmacy first, to access the right service for you first time, your wait might be shorter and experience better.

By moisturising skin at least twice daily with a hypoallergenic moisturizer or emollient, skin tears can be reduced by 50%.

If using an emollient keep away from fire, flames and ci******es. Wash dressings and clothes at a high temperature to prevent build up. https://www.nhs.uk/tests-and-treatments/emollients/

Skin tears happen when delicate skin is knocked, causing a painful tear.

RSV is a common cause of a type of chest infection called bronchiolitis in babies. This can cause breathing problems which may need to be treated in hospital.

It can also cause a serious lung infection (pneumonia) in babies and older adults.

Vaccination is the best way to protect your baby

Babies only have little airways, which makes them vulnerable to RSV. Getting the RSV vaccine during pregnancy passes antibodies to your baby and helps protect them from birth. 👶🍼

Doncaster City Council have confirmed that dead birds found at the Lakeside have tested positive for Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) and they are working with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and Animal and Plant Health Agency to control the spread of the disease and put the relevant health and safety measures in place across the city.

Reassuringly, the UK Health Security Agency has said the risk to human health is low, but you should not touch or pick up any dead or visibly sick birds that you find and take care to avoid bird droppings in parks and lakeside areas.

Doncaster City Council ask that any sightings of dead birds are reported by calling them on 01302 736000

Information about Avian Influenza in people can be found here
