Patient Results Notifications - Sexual Health Services 4 Doncaster will notify patients of their results as follows:

- Negative results: Ten working days after testing, you will receive a text message confirming that ALL results are negative.

- Positive results - A clinician will contact you directly to discuss results, treatments and further steps.

Please note that our reception team cannot give any information on your results over the phone.

Reports of domestic abuse rise every Christmas. Stress, money worries, or alcohol are never an excuse. Abuse is about power and control.

Domestic abuse can be a single incident or a pattern of controlling, coercive, threatening, degrading or violent behaviour — including s*xual violence. It’s most often carried out by a partner or ex-partner, but can also be by a family member or carer.

If you’re in danger and can’t speak:

👂 Listen to the operator
💬 Cough or tap your phone if you can
🔢 Press 55 when prompted — this lets the operator know it’s an emergency and you’ll be connected to the police

Are you worried about missing periods on contraception? 🤔

If you're on contraception and your period seems to have gone MIA, don't panic! 🚫 It's totally possible for some contraceptives to delay or even stop your menstrual bleeding.

Options like the implant, contraceptive injection, patch, IUS (coil), and POP (mini pill) can all play a role in this.

But, if you're concerned about a possible pregnancy due to a missed pill, repeat pill or appointments for contraceptive injections, don't delay.

PrEP stands for Pre-exposure Prophylaxis

PrEP works by stopping HIV from getting into your body and making copies of itself (replicating). You'll only be protected from HIV infection if there are high enough levels of PrEP in your body, so it's important to take it correctly.

PrEP can be taken by anyone from a community or group that is most at risk of

✔️ Self-taken samples are just as accurate as clinician-taken ones
✔️ Clear instructions included — help is always available if needed

Which sample do I need?
🔹 If you have a va**na: take a va**nal swab
🔹 If you have a p***s: provide a first-catch urine sample (the first part of the urine stream)
