💉✨ Flu Vaccines - Who's eligible this season? ✨💉

The NHS recommends flu vaccination for many groups to help protect against serious illness.

From 1st September 2025
✅ Pregnant patients
✅ Children ages 2-3 years (on 31st August 2025)
✅ Children with certain long term health conditions (aged 6 months to under 18)

From 1st October 2025
✅ Everyone aged 65 and over
✅ Adults aged 18-64 with certain long-term health conditions
✅ Care home residents
✅Carers (including those in receipt of carers allowance or main carers for elderly/disabled people)
✅ Frontline health and social care workers

This week we have so far had the following:

20 GP appointments that is 200 minutes of wasted GP time ☹️

26 Nursing team appointments 260 minutes of the teams time ☹️

It is very concerning that this amount of DNA’s is happening when at the surgery we are offering both face to face and telephone appointments for the patients convience, many of these appointments are only booked a week before and all receive reminders about these appointments.
