Reiki
Reiki is another technique that uses positive energy using touch. There are seven chakras in the body and these are systematically ā€˜ clearedā€™ of any negative energy, hence improving the flow and balance of healing energy through the body.

It can promote a feeling of wellbeing, reduce stress, boost the immune system and relieve pain and tension. Another benefit is when it is used in conjunction with traditional medical treatments, eg., chemotherapy, radiotherapy, post-surgery, supporting the body to cope with the effects of these traumatic treatments

The most common form is Usui Reiki which was developed in the early 1900ā€™s in Japan by Mikao Usui. The word Reiki translates to ā€˜universal life force energyā€™ and the protocol has been passed through the generations bringing us to the modern day attunements for practitioners. Nothing has been lost in the translation and we still use the original principles held by Usui.

A counsellor does not give advice, they are a listening ear for someone who needs to talk through their problems with someone they feel safe with. It takes a leap of faith for someone to open their heart and soul to a stranger but, over time, we build a relationship which is absolutely honest and non judgemental.

Once a person begins to voice their concerns, rather than internalise them, they are able to put things into perspective and sort out their issues. Sometimes, it is a matter of being able to prioritise, cross things off a list and finally.. see the wood for the trees. And ,of course, remember to breatheā€¦ā€¦

Pure Energy Healing
Pure Energy Healing is a natural method of healing and is inherent in everyone. The healing is channelled by a Healer and encompasses the use of mind, body and spirit. When the Healer is at one with themselves it opens them to receiving a high form of vibration. In turn, this assists their client to clear away negative vibrations and enhance the positive energy. They do not heal, he or she is a vessel which allows the flow of universal energy. This, in turn transfers to the client who, in actual fact, heals themselves.

During a session, clients can experience a range of feelings. They can experience a calming feeling, peace and feel more positive about themselves and their lives. The session can help heal emotional stress and deep, painful trauma. Pure Energy Healing can benefit all and any of the mental, emotional and physical body. It can provide an emotional release for the client which, previously, they have been unable to release and be a very cathartic experience.

Catros Pure Healing offers Seichem (Egyptian Healing). As in Reiki, the Seichem initiation is passed on from master to student. It calls on the energies of the four elements: Earth, Fire, Water and Air/Ether and is a living energy. We use the hands to channel the energy, as in Reiki, and when all the elements are used together any negativity is removed and replaced by positivity and healing energy.

There are many techniques which can be used with Seichem and we are guided by our intuition as to which is the best for the client. They can be utilized for mental clearing, emotional release and physical symptoms. Sometimes, it can be useful to use a combination and depends on the individualā€™s needs.
