In relation to the sad death of Oliver Steeper, the Coroner Katrina Hepburn stated: “It is apparent from evidence in this case that when confronted with an emergency situation of a choking child that staff, even those with a valid certificate in place, were not able to put into place the Resuscitation Council guidelines. For example, no chest thrusts, a mouth sweep was given against the guidelines, staff were unsure of the strength of backslaps. I am concerned that even staff with valid training, who had it up to three years earlier, without regular refresher may not recall the finer particulars to ensure effective first aid is given.”

Good afternoon all. We have been contacted by many of our clients to say someone in the area is cold calling all childcare settings regarding their first aid training. We find such cold calling wrong and in addition to obtaining all of your contact details through what we can only assume is the early years register. We cannot find any mention of who their course's are regulated by and as such would be wary about it being eyfs & Ofsted compliant. Stay safe. Team FAD

First Aid Doncaster was established in 2008 by our managing director who after over 20 years as an a&e nurse had a vision of delivering educational but fun courses initially to local people however within a short space of time this has evolved into delivering courses not only for locals but also national and international organisations.

We deliver the full suite of first aid courses including HSE Approved First Aid At Work & HSE Approved Emergency First Aid At Work, Ofsted Approved Paediatric First Aid (2 Day course) & Ofsted Approved Emergency Paediatric First Aid (1 Day course), First Aid For Schools, CPR & AED training.

These courses can be deliver “in house” at your venue / work place or at one of our training centres.
