Join me for a New Moon Sacred Circle and Drum Journey on the 20th December 2025 at 5pm.

We will be gathering together, to deepen our connection with the cycles of the moon and how we can support ourselves and each other by tracking the cycles of our body and life experience.

The New Moon is a time for setting intentions, for the coming lunar month. We will be taking time to tune in to what we would like to manifest in our lives, and for the community around us.

We will also be connecting with our womb space, culminating in a Drum Journey to connect with our ancestors for support and advice.

As such, this group is for women and people who have/have had a womb/ovaries to share their experiences.

Afterwards there will be a shared meal of soup and bread and you are then welcome to stay for the Sound Bath (open to all) starting c. 6.45pm

Booking in advance is essential. Suggested donation is £15.

If you would like to stay on for the sound bath afterwards, that is £15.

Taking place at the Unitarian Church in central Doncaster (Hallgate).

I look forward to welcoming you! ❤️

I’m very much in the throes of transitioning towards menopause. I cannot say, even with the knowledge and training that I have, that it is an “easy” process.

Our experience of the time leading up to menopause can be very much affected by all the years (and our experiences) that have gone before. In my case, I have had to take time (as part of my, longer than anticipated, sabbatical) to process past trauma (through specialist therapy) in order to support my move towards this next stage of life.

The impact of how we feel - past traumas affecting our soul and spirit - certainly impact our physical wellbeing, affecting how we manage the physiological changes that menopause brings.

This is why I firmly believe that an holistic approach to menopause is so very beneficial and why I am so passionate about the services that I offer.

Too often the psychological and emotional impact of these changes take a back seat from the focus on the physical.

My holistic approach of blending both “hands-on” therapies with aromatherapy, energy and sound therapy, aims to support you as a whole - body, mind and soul, alongside potentially beneficial lifestyle changes you may choose to make (and, indeed, medical support from your GP, such as HRT).

Your experience of (peri)menopause is as individual as you are and an eclectic approach to support can make a huge difference to experience of this exciting (and sometimes challenging time).

And as someone who is experiencing peri-menopause, I’d very much welcome you sharing your experiences. What is (or has been) of support to you?

A few weeks ago I was out foraging mugwort to dry for tea and to infuse in oil.

Stripping it is a rather meditative practice and I’m childishly entertained by watching the air bubble up through the oil before sealing up.

Once it’s ready, I’ll strain the oil to use for a massage blend (to which I will also add a blend of essential oils for, predominantly, womb massage) and I want to trial a “sleepy” balm.

What are your favourite ways to use mugwort?

I’m deep in the throes of balancing my experience of moving towards menopause - some days are definitely more challenging than others and the damp does affect my hypermobile joints.

As it’s a rainy start to October, it’s time for a reread of this fab book by larabriden (I always recommend her work!) and a bit of planning for a couple of balms that I want to make once my mugwort oil is ready.

Sharing late as accidentally shared it to my personal account whilst busy making a butterbean and cider stew 🤣

But the sentiment still stands - blessings to all those celebrating yesterday! ❤️

Infused through my practice as a complementary therapist is the holistic blending of various techniques, with my main interest being that of women’s wellbeing.

We are a product of our experiences and, sometimes, we are not aware of how these can accumulate and present years later.

Childbirth can have a tremendous impact, physically, emotionally and spiritually, and rarely does modern life give time for us to recover.

But, as Vicky’s experience shows, even years later, we can take steps to heal. ❤️

One of my most favourite things to do is facilitate sound bath experiences, and my most favourite instruments have to be the gong and drum.

As an autistic person who is also diagnosed with ADHD (combined type) with a long standing interest in the benefits of meditation and mindfulness, I often wondered “what was wrong with me?” when I struggled to centre in the various ways that are often suggested.

Gong and drumming are, for me, two practices that I find immensely supportive in helping me to clear the constant internal dialogue that I experience.

The physicality of mindful movement make such a difference for me mentally, and the same can be said for massage - that through the act of massaging someone, my brain is able to centre upon the act and hold the space.

In addition, attending drum journey sessions and sound baths as a participant (rather than as the practitioner) is something else I find immensely beneficial for “meditative practice” as a person with ADHD.

The steady repetition of the drum beat (or the undulations and meandering complexity of the gong) are so helpful as a focal point. The process itself is, I feel, far more accessible to me than other meditative practices that I have tried.

So, if you are diagnosed with ADHD and feel you are struggling to create a practice of mindfulness and/or meditation, maybe drum journeying and/or sound baths may be helpful for you too?

I will be restarting a season of sound baths and drum journeying sessions (both group and solo opportunities) soon. So if you are interested in experiencing this, please join my mailing list (linked to in my bio on IG or from my website) for further information on dates, etc.

I’m very passionate about the benefits of womb (abdominal) massage and its potential support of a range of difficulties that we may experience.

From digestive difficulties, to period pain (dysmenorrhea), easing adhesions (from surgery and/or conditions such as endometriosis) to releasing energetic trauma held in this region, there are a wealth of potential positives.

What’s more, scientific research is steadily backing this up!

"Abdominal aromatherapy massage with essential oils is an effective complementary method to relieve pain in primary dysmenorrhea.” As reported by Sut N, Kahyaoglu-Sut H. (2017) Effect of aromatherapy massage on pain in primary dysmenorrhea: A meta-analysis. Complement Ther Clin Pract.

I offer a range of therapies with my primary focus being on women’s wellbeing. Womb massage is one of the specialist approaches that I incorporate as part of an holistic assessment of your needs. ❤️
