🌸SPRING COVID BOOSTERS START THIS APRIL🌸
We’re gearing up to begin this year’s spring booster programme

Who’s eligible?
✔️Adults 75 years and over
✔️Anyone living in a residential care home for older adults (even if under 75)
✔️ Immunosuppressed individuals aged 6 months and over

Our 4D team will begin contacting eligible patients directly, so there is no need to call us.
◼You will receive a booking link or telephone call to arrange an appointment.
◼The appointments for our patients will be held at the practice this season.

We have been advised of upcoming roadworks for resurfacing and sp*ed bump insertion on Church Balk. The resurfacing is due to take place over the weekend and sp*ed bump work will be Wednesday to Friday.

Can’t walk to 5k … read about David and what he’s achieved 🙌🏻🌟

🌟 “You’ve Got This” — David’s Inspiring Journey from cant walk to 5K 🌟

For years, David lived with severe arthritis, barely able to walk and struggling with both his physical and mental health. After major surgery on both feet, he decided to try something he never thought possible… Couch to 5K.
Fast forward a year from his final surgery, and David crossed his first 5K finish line!
Since then, he’s lost 9 stone, boosted his confidence, and even took on a “Triathlon with a Twist” a 10k run, 15,000ft skydive, and a back wax for charity! 💚💪

David’s amazing progress is a perfect reminder that getting started doesn’t have to be complicated and that small steps really do add up. That’s why we’ve launched our brand new Keeping Active guides for Doncaster, packed with simple ideas, local activities, and support to help anyone take their first step toward moving more. Whether you’re just starting out or looking for new ways to stay active, the guides are here to help.

March is prostate cancer awareness month. In the UK, about 1 in 8 men are diagnosed with it each year. Prostate cancer is a common cancer, and starts in the cells of the prostate.

You may not experience any symptoms in the early stage of prostate cancer. It is only when the cancer is large enough to press on the tube that carries the urine from the bladder (urethra) that symptoms can occur. These can include:
⏹Needing to p*e more often than usual, especially at night
⏹Difficulty p*eing – for example, a weak flow or having to strain to start p*eing
⏹Feeling like you have not completely emptied your bladder.

Sometimes the symptoms of benign (non-cancerous) prostate conditions and prostate cancer are similar. If you have any prostate cancer symptoms, it is important to have them checked by your doctor.
