Did you know more than 1 in 5 children aged 5 have tooth decay and that is almost entirely preventable!
Brushing children's teeth right from the start helps develop good oral health habits from childhood to adulthood.
For more information about when and how to brush click on the link below 👇

Baby teeth aren’t just practice teeth. They help children bite and chew, support speech development, guide adult teeth into place and boost confidence when smiling. When teeth aren't cared for, it leads to tooth decay which can cause pain, infection and long-term oral health problems.

Don’t forget the clocks go forward an hour this weekend, on the 28th March 2025
The idea of a 1-hour change to your schedule can fill parents with dread!
In reality you don't have to do anything different, your little one might wake up at an unusual time for a couple of days, but they will quickly adjust. Make sure during the day you schedule mealtimes and naps to the new times and most baby's will be back to normal routine in 1-2 days.
If you would feel happier you can start making changes to bedtime over the next few days by gradually bringing your evening routine forward by up to 15 minutes a night; starting at teatime.
Don’t forget to wake your child up earlier the next morning to gradually change their body clock. Do this from now until Sunday and they might not notice the change!

In the UK the clocks go forward 1 hour at 1am on the last Sunday in March, and back 1 hour at 2am on the last Sunday in October. The clocks changing in spring and autumn can wreak havoc with your little one’s sleep schedule.

You've found out you're pregnant and you might be thinking, 'What do I do now?'
You don't need to see your GP. You can register directly with a maternity service / hospital.

If you're pregnant, it's important to register with a maternity service before you reach 10-weeks of pregnancy.

Seeing a midwife before 10-weeks means you can get:

The help and advice you need
FREE vitamins and folic acid
Information about the tests and scans you can have
A chance to ask questions, or share any worries.

What is 'Tummy Time'

Tummy time is giving your baby a small amount of time lying on their tummy while they are awake, so that they can get used to being in this position. It lets them explore the different ways they can move their head, limbs and neck.

It's dangerous to put babies down to sleep on their tummy however, so make sure they're wide awake for tummy time.

The NHS recommends tummy time as a way to build muscles that your baby will need for sitting and crawling. We go through the benefits of tummy time and what tummy time is.
