THANK YOU!

Our return to face to face treatments has gone really well. All our clients have adapted well to the changes we’ve made and it’s been a pleasure helping people get back to achieving their goals. A big thank you to all of you for making a potentially challenging time so easy!

As our return has gone so well we are opening up our diary more and we are now welcoming any new clients. We are also happy to resume any treatment that may have been postponed due to lock down. Feel free to get in touch!

We look forward to seeing you and helping you get back on track!

Following updated guidance from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, face-to-face consultations will begin to recommence with limited appointments from Monday 1st June.

In line with guidance from both the government and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, there will be changes to appointments to reflect and uphold social distancing.

All consultations require risk assessment and triage first to ensure face to face treatment is appropriate. If face to face treatment is deemed suitable we now have new policies and procedures to ensure social distancing and health and safety guidelines are met, making my treatment space as safe as possible.

If you feel you require treatment, then please get in touch and I'll go through a few triage and screening questions to make sure it is safe and appropriate to commence treatment.

To the clients who have been in touch during lock down and are on our waiting list, I will be in touch very soon to screen to see if treatment is safe and appropriate.

Thanks for your patience and together we can adjust to “our new normal”. We will endeavour to keep you safe and get you back moving again. We look forward to seeing you.

Following the Prime Minister’s most recent update on Sunday 10 May, it seems that some people will now be returning back to work, if it’s safe to do so.
Unfortunately following consideration and also advice from governing bodies, I don’t think that it’s either safe or responsible for me to reopen for face to face appointments just yet as f2f appointments breach social distancing rules that’re currently in place.

As much as I am missing helping you, I’ve a duty of care to you, my clients and I also want to keep doing the right thing - to protect my family, community and our NHS.

Remember, if you do need an appointment whilst current social distancing measures remain in place, these can still be done digitally using FaceTime/Zoom etc. In the meantime, if you’d like to be popped on the waiting list for when face to face appointments do finally resume, drop me a message and we can get you added.

Remain safe and take care.

I hope everyone is safe and well! In this time it’s important to keep looking after your mental and physical health. I am seeing a lot of companies charging for online exercise content however there are tons of free resources out there at this uncertain time.
Here’s a link to the amazing guys at Tall Trees Yoga and Pilates who are generating some great free online Yoga and Pilates content on their YouTube channel.

Feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions about what exercise would be suitable for you or how to adjust your normal routine.

Hi all. This is our dedicated channel specifically created to host our online classes. Please join in as much as you can and explore what we have to offer.

As of today I have taken the decision to close the clinic completely for face to face appointments, for the time being.

I feel there has been a lack of guidance from official channels and I have thought long and hard and this feels to me, the right decision to make; to protect our clients and the wider population. I have worked hard to build up my little business and I love my job. I have treated many amazing people and it is them that I need to protect.

I know we will survive this and things will get better, I hope Health Active Physiotherapy will survive also.

We will be contacting anybody who has not heard from us today regarding upcoming appointments.

We will be offering digital and phone consultations to clients, where appropriate.

If you would like to contact us with any queries in this time, please feel free to either call me on 07807010682 or email us at wayne@healthactivephysiotherapy.co.uk or via any of our social media.

Hang in there people.

Remember the night is darkest before the dawn, and there will be the most amazing dawn after this.

Thank you to a grateful client for a great gift on discharge today. He told us he was sceptical about Physiotherapy initially based on his previous episodes of Physio, luckily we managed to change his mind! Happy to help and of course as Health Care professionals we only recommend drinking in moderation.

This... Countless times I’ve asked manual handling instructors to reason why you shouldn’t bend your back when lifting and not one has had a reasonable answer. The main one is “that’s what I was taught”. Stop promoting fear of movement.
