If one of your goals for the New Year is to stop smoking, come see us on the Health Van this week!

Running alongside our drop-in GP clinics, you will be able to speak with our Smokefree advisors to receive guidance and tips on how to quit smoking and get started on your smoke-free journey. Plus, you can also take a free Carbon Monoxide test!

This winter, local health services are here if you need them – but it’s important to know where to go.

From pharmacies to NHS 111, urgent treatment centres to A&E, choosing the right option helps you get the care you need quickly while keeping our hospitals free for emergencies.

🔵 NHS 111: Visit 111.nhs.uk or phone 111, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for advice, appointments or to get directed to the most appropriate service.

🔵 Pharmacy: Local pharmacies can help with less urgent conditions and may be able to offer treatment and some prescription medicine without you needing to see a GP. Find out if your local pharmacy is open: https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/pharmacy/find-a-pharmacy/

🔵 Urgent treatment centres and minor injury units: For sprains, fractures, minor burns and skin infections.

🔵 Doncaster Same Day Health Centre is open from 10am to 10pm at Cavendish Court for appointments seven days a week, year round. Call 0300 123 3103

🔵 Montagu Hospital – Minor Injuries Unit is open every day (except Christmas Day) from 9am to 9pm with the last admission at 8pm.

🔵 Nottingham NHS Urgent Treatment Centre (next to the BBC building) is open every day from 7am-7pm.

📅 As we wrap up the year, we’re proud to reflect on what we achieved in 2025!

It’s been a year of change, growth and hard work to improve primary care in Doncaster and make healthcare more accessible for our community.

Some key achievements from the past year include:

✅ Delivering over 6,800 hours of additional appointments through our Health Van service and evening and weekend appointments, with a 97.3% utilisation rate
✅ Welcoming 24 new team members across all areas, including corporate and ARRS roles
✅ Supporting over 4,000 healthcare professionals through our TARGET learning sessions
✅ Appointing a new CEO, Michael Shaw, who will ensure we continue to deliver high-quality support and services to the Doncaster community
✅ Hosting awareness events throughout the year to help local residents take charge of their health

Thank you to our team and the Doncaster community for helping us make a difference.
