Improving Your Experience at Our Practice
We are introducing Emma - our AI receptionist, a new system designed to help us manage calls, appointments and patient enquiries more efficiently.

Our goal is simple: to make it easier for you to contact us and access the care you need.

What This Means for You
✔ Shorter Waiting Times
The system helps answer calls and process requests more quickly, reducing time spent on hold.
✔ Easier Appointment Booking
Booking, changing or cancelling appointments should become faster and more straightforward.
✔ Better Access to Care
By reducing administrative workload, our doctors, nurses and reception team can focus more time on supporting patients.
✔ More Efficient Appointments
In some cases, we may gather information in advance so clinicians can prepare ahead of your visit, helping make your consultation more productive.

A Support Tool — Not a Replacement
Our reception and clinical teams remain at the heart of our practice.
Emma supports our staff — she does not replace them.
If you need help or prefer to speak with a member of the team, that option will continue to be available.

During the Introduction Period
As with any new system, there may be some initial teething issues while we adapt and refine how it works within our practice.
We ask for your patience during this period.
We are actively monitoring the system and:
Reviewing how it is working day-to-day
Listening carefully to patient feedback
Making adjustments where improvements are needed
Your experience matters to us, and we are committed to continuously improving the system so it works well for our community.

Privacy and Confidentiality
Your information remains secure and confidential.
Emma operates in line with NHS data protection and GDPR requirements, and clinicians remain fully responsible for all medical decisions.

Our Long-Term Commitment
By modernising how we manage calls and appointments, we aim to:
Reduce waiting times
Improve appointment availability
Support our staff
Strengthen the long-term sustainability of general practice

These changes are designed to help us continue delivering safe, high-quality care — now and in the future.

Children’s Mental Health Week is a great opportunity to think about how we can support children’s wellbeing in everyday life. 🧠💙📱✨

Creating healthy habits around screen time and internet use, having open conversations about what children see online, and knowing where to find support can all make a positive difference.

For families waiting for neurodiversity or mental health assessments, trusted guidance and early support can help while you’re on the journey. Small, consistent actions at home can help children feel safer, more confident and better supported.

Sexual Violence Awareness Week is a time to highlight support for anyone affected by sexual assault or sexual violence, including women and men. 💜

Help is available if you have experienced abuse, are worried about someone else, or need advice on staying safe. Confidential support, medical care, forensic services and sexual health checks (including STI testing) can be accessed through specialist services.

You may also see emergency alert test notifications on your phone during national testing. Opting out can help some people keep phones hidden and safe, as these alerts override silent and do not disturb settings.

You are not alone, and support is there when you are ready. 🕊️🩺✨

Regular exercise plays a vital role in maintaining both physical and mental health, and it does not have to mean spending hours in the gym. Being active can help reduce the risk of long-term conditions, improve mood and boost energy levels, while also supporting independence as we age.

Examples of regular exercise include:
🚴‍♂️ Brisk walking or cycling to improve heart health
💪 Strength exercises like carrying shopping or resistance training to build muscle
🧘‍♀️Balance and flexibility activities such as yoga or stretching to reduce falls and stiffness
💙 Low-impact activities like swimming or chair-based exercises, especially later in life

Staying active in ways you enjoy makes it easier to keep exercise as part of everyday life.
