Hello 👋 I'm Emma, the very proud owner/founder of Friends With Emma 💙
Friends With Emma has been established since 2017 but I have over 20 years of experience in the Care Sector! Friends With Emma was never meant to be a 'business'. I simply wanted to carry on doing a job I absolutely fell in love with when I was made redundant from Sue Ryder. My passion, commitment and reliability meant I was often fully booked and turning people away. This always made me sad because I know from experience when people are seeking my service, they need a helping hand right there & then. After many, many years of deliberating, I decided I'd expand & we now provide around 95 hours per week of Befriending to elderly and vulnerable adults in our close communities plus respite for people who have become Caregivers that were once described as spouse/son/daughter.
I hand picked my team to ensure their values reflect my own, therefore keeping an excellent standard of reliability, compassion & genuine care for all of our Service Users and their loved ones.
Our strap line 'enhancing lives through friendship' is always the aim of our service.
I am so grateful to be here, providing a service I believe in after almost 9 years. To be invited into the homes and lives of our service users and to be trusted by their families. It's such an honour.

Did you see the action shot of me that our lovely Wendy captured yesterday?
I had assisted my lovely gent to join in with a chair based exercise class within Cassons Court and Wendy was there helping her lady with some errands & laundry assistance.
