Fundraising for a FeNo machine!

We are raising money for a new FeNo machine for the surgery.

A FeNo machine is used to accurately diagnose patients with Asthma by assessing how inflamed the airways are. We are not fortunate enough to own one ourselves at the surgery but we are hoping to raise money to buy our own. To help us reach our target our wonderful Health Care Assistant Woody is doing a sponsored 10k run in Liverpool on the 15th of March this year.

Notice of retirement- Dr Frances Watt

I will be retiring from Poundbury Doctors Surgery on March 31st 2026.
I have been working at the surgery for the last 23 years and have been a GP partner since 2012.
I have always felt privileged to work in such a united team and I am looking forward to working in a more flexible capacity as a GP locum before full retirement.

We have been made aware that on Google our opening times are incorrect. Our correct opening times are available via our website and also listed below:

Monday 08:00 - 18:30

Tuesday 08:00 - 18:30

Wednesday 08:00 - 18:30 (closed between 13:00 - 14:00 for staff training)

Thursday 08:00 - 18:30

Friday 08:00 - 18:30

We are attempting to fix this issue, many thanks for your patience.

Important Update – Temporary Change

From Monday 12th January, we will be dispensing prescriptions from a temporary pharmacy container located outside the pharmacy for approximately 5 weeks, while we undergo an exciting refurbishment.

Please be assured we are not closing down, this is a temporary move to allow us to improve the pharmacy for you. All services will continue as normal during this time.

Christmas Prescription Ordering

The last day to re-order your prescriptions before the Christmas bank holiday (Christmas Day & Boxing Day) is Monday the 22nd of December for collection on Wednesday the 24th of December before 18:30.

We then re-open at 08:00 on Monday the 29th of December, that being the last day to order prescription for collection on Wednesday the 31st of December before 18:30.

We re-open from Friday the 2nd of January for our normal working hours (Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 18:30).

Walk-in Flu & Covid clinics

We are holding walk-in flu vaccination clinics on Tuesday the 28th and Thursday the 30th of October between 10:00 - 13:00. IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE YOU DO NOT NEED TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT, just come into the surgery and speak to reception on these dates between 10:00 - 13:00. These will be flu vaccine only clinics. To check if you are eligible please contact reception on 01305 251 128.

Flu & Covid clinic- 1st of November

We still have appointments available at our Flu & Covid clinic on the 1st of November. This clinic is only open to those aged over 65 and are eligible for a Flu or Covid vaccination. To check if you are eligible please contact reception on 01305 251 128.

Changes To Our Electronic Consultation System.

We are switching to a new provider for our electronic consultation system. We currently use eConsult but will be changing to SystmConnect soon.

SystmConnect is made by TPP, the same company that makes both the clinical system we use at the surgery, and SystmOnline which you may use to access our Online Services such as requesting medication or viewing your medical record.

The link to eConsult will be replaced on our website with the one for SystmConnect, please make sure you update any bookmarks you may have stored.
