🚶CROSS CRAWL! 🚶‍♀

There are so many benefits for the body and the brain to doing Cross Crawl.

Here are some examples of what this simple exercise does:

💪For the BODY; increases lymph flow, circulation, blood pressure levels, supports digestion, helps increase flexibility, improves fitness levels.

🧠For the BRAIN; balances the left and right side of the brain, helps memory, promotes clearer thinking, helps co-odination, reduces stress, helps to enhance learning, can improve IQ.

It's a great one for kids to do before settling down to do homework or revision and also great before an important game or meeting.

Cross crawl is a brilliant self-care exercise to do and to teach your family.

Here's a short video demonstrating how to do Cross Crawl: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6jiONDwANM

"Ever wondered why Bowen affects people on so many different levels? A painful touch will set off alarm bells in the nervous system and will go to a part of the brain called the motor cortex that will trigger an emergency reaction. Not caring too much about the reason for the pain. A gentle non-threatening touch - like we use in Bowen, will trigger a different part of the nervous system that is connected to a part of the brain called the insular cortex. The insular cortex is an extremely busy integration hub, collecting all sensory input and information regarding our blood pressure, digestion, heart rate, pain levels, and much, much more. It is also involved in motor learning, all emotional and life experiences, helps to regulate pain, and the main area that our Vagus nerve feeds into. It is constantly creating output, triggering other systems in relation to all of this input received. And that is why Bowen is so powerful - we tap into the insular cortex."

🔦SPOTLIGHT ON DIGESTION, FOOD & RELATED SYMPTOMS!

What you eat is fundamental to your overall health.

If you're eating foods that your body doesn’t currently receive & process well, this can lead to mental as well as physical problems over time.

Some examples of food related symptoms include:

😕Tiredness
😕brain fog
😕bloating
😕joint pain
😕low energy/fatigue
😕inability to lose weight
😕low mood or anxiety
😕headaches
😕stomach pains
😕constipation and diarrhoea
😕eczema, spots or acne
😕and even hyperactivity in children.

👉Did you know that through Kinesiology and food sensitivity testing, you can confirm food intolerances and find out which foods your body is taking on board and absorbing and which foods you're struggling with?

So finding out which foods may be contributing to these symptoms is key in returning you to full health and wellbeing.

🍞Food testing is simple and non-invasive. During a session, foods are placed on to the body and a muscle test is carried out. If the muscle weakens we know that particular food is draining the body of energy, or in other words, the body is intolerant to that food.

⚖️Food sensitivity testing is always carried out as part of a wider & thorough digestive balancing session. Our fully trained and qualified Kinesiologists balance the body in a holistic way, ensuring that it's working at optimal levels to receive, digest, process and use the energy the food has provided.

This means addressing any underlying emotional factors, confirming any vitamin or mineral deficiencies and finding the right supplements for your unique case, working on any structural issues and ensuring there is flow in your energy systems.

Clients come to Kinesiology for a range of reasons.

Sometimes they have obvious physical symptoms and want help to alleviate them.
Sometimes they perceive the issue is nutritional.
Sometimes they want help and support to work through a difficult emotional time.
Other times, they don't know what's 'wrong'; they just know they don't feel 'right'.

⭐️The BODY has the ANSWERS!

Kinesiologists are able to help because we work across all realms; physical, emotional, biochemical, nutritional and electro-magnetic.

It's wonderful because we don't have to guess what's going on. The body will tell us what needs to be dealt with and the order in which to work through them.

🙌Coming with an OPEN MIND

It is so helpful to come with an open mind and trusting the wisdom of the body to lead the way.

Sometimes the session may not provide the concrete answer that was wanted, which can lead to confusion or disappointment. BUT it is important to remember that no concrete answer doesn't mean no answer!

Picture an onion...It could be that the issue has multiple layers just like the onion and each one needs to be peeled in a sensitive, gentle way to gradually get to the core.

👍TAKING RESPONSIBILITY

As Kinesiologists, we provide the tools, techniques, resources and the roadmap but the client must also take responsibility for doing the work between sessions. The 'homework' may involve exercises, lifestyle changes, taking nutritional supplements or remedies for emotional support or changes to diet.

When we work in partnership with our clients, we see amazing results!

FRESH FRUIT & VEG AND GUT HEALTH 🍇🥕🥔🥒🍌

Most of us find it increasingly difficult to obtain an adequate diet of micronutrients.
Nowadays, the amount of essential nutrients included in fruit and vegetables sold in the UK is approximately half that of 1940.

The types of crops grown by commercial farmers today are very different from those grown in the past. Modern farming practises are hazardous to our health because they expose us to pesticides and other dangerous chemicals and deplete the soil of vital nutrients.

Although the availability and diversity of fruit and vegetables have increased due to an increase in imports, a significant amount of the nutritional value is likely to be lost during transportation and storage.

🔽🔽🔽
SO WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP YOURSELVES?
Micronutrient status can be improved by increasing total fruit and vegetable intake, switching to organic foods, taking supplements*, supporting digestive health*, and being conscious of cooking techniques.

⭐️*Our Kinesiology Practitioners are trained to work with your body and identify EXACTLY which supplements you need to support your health.

We also have many tools and techniques to improve your digestive health and bring your body back into balance, including being able to test for the root cause of gut dysbiosis (the imbalance of gut microbiome due to pathogens and toxins such as parasites, bacteria, fungus, virus).

Kinesiology considers the WHOLE person - body, mind, soul - and leaves no stone unturned when it comes to finding and fixing the root cause of imbalances.

Every session works on clients across the following realms:
⭐️Mental/Emotional - concerned with our thinking, reasoning, feeling, emotions and spirit, plus our connection to a higher power.

⭐️Chemical - concerned with ensuring there is a free flow of energy in terms of the way our bodies work and how alert and focused the mind is. Everything we are exposed to - from what we eat, drink, breathe, touch (think products we use) - will have differing degrees of preservatives, pollutants, toxins and stresses in them which can tip the balance in our bodies and minds.

⭐️Physical - concerned with the structure, bones, muscles and posture of the body as well as sleep quality and whether we are rested and grounded.

⭐️Electrical/Energy - concerned with the life force energy that runs through us, which needs to be flowing freely to allow the body and mind to function at optimum levels of efficiency.

By integrating and balancing all aspects of what may be causing dis-ease, the body is brought back to homeostasis, which is where self-healing occurs.

Kinesiology is a truly holistic therapy that uses muscle testing as a way to connect with & get feedback from the subconscious mind. Each session is as unique as the individual themselves!

Trace minerals are essential minerals the body needs, albeit in small amounts.

Examples of trace minerals are: copper, iron, manganese, copper, iodine, zinc, cobalt, fluoride and selenium.

Did you know that if children lack trace minerals they will eat dirt?!

If adults lack trace minerals they will eat their fingernails or bite their hair!

So if you know anyone doing either of these things or experiencing fatigue, anaemia or an irregular heartbeat, it might be time to book a Kinesiology appointment with one of our professional Practitioners to check if they need Trace Minerals!

Kinesiologists check for imbalances in the body across 4 realms: Physical, Biochemical, Emotional/Mental, Energetic/Electrical.

One of the Biochemical aspects we look into is deficiencies in vitamins and minerals.

The way our food is harvested and processed means that at times - particularly when stress levels are high - it's difficult to get all we need from our diets.
But it's not just about that. It could be that your body isn't absorbing or using the nutrients properly.

Here are 5 of the most common deficiencies and what can happen if we don't have enough:

1️⃣B12 - tiredness, weakness, tingling or weakness in the hands & feet, increased heart rate, poor appetite
2️⃣Magnesium - muscle spasms, cramps, asthma, poor mental health, irregular heartbeat, low/high blood pressure & blood sugar
3️⃣Omega 3 - skin, hair & nail issues, sleep problems, difficulty concentrating, joint pain, stiffness, increased risk of heart disease
4️⃣Vitamin A - fatigue, risk of illness & infection, reduced vision, poor skin health. In severe cases, vitamin A deficiency can increase the risk of infertility & miscarriage
5️⃣Vitamin D - lower immunity, weaker muscles, less bone mass, less calcium absorption

Everybody is unique so it's not just about taking ALL THE THINGS in the hope we reach optimum levels!

To find out exactly what your body may be deficient in, book an appointment with your local Kinesiologist. You can find them here: https://buff.ly/3sGRitK

Vitamin B12 is an essential water-soluble vitamin, often highlighted for its role in energy production, red blood cell formation, DNA synthesis and prevention of pernicious anaemia. But, beyond the fact that it can be lacking in plant-based diets and should be consumed regularly, what do we really k...
